Katri and the case of the Haunted Asylum, Day 16

The morning didn't start off too great. With the eventful night last night, I hadn't slept at all, and on top of that, the bathroom was filled with inmates who didn't really need to use it.

I was tired, in a bad mood, and the eggplants I'd worked so hard on were in danger of wilting away if I didn't harvest them soon. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so I bent the rules a little and called in sick.

Despite not actually feeling too great, I couldn't really do it on a straight face, I just had to hope my superior wouldn't catch on.

Fortunately, they didn't seem to catch on, and I got the day off.

The others were already in the yard for the most part, while I tried to take care of my needs the best I could.

I soon joined them, as I needed to take care of my plants.

After I'd done my best in the garden, I joined the other inmates on the front yard, and tried again to get conversation flowing so that Bernadette and Gabriel might stay out of each other's hair.

Unfortunately, that was to no avail.

Resigned, I headed to bed. I was exhausted from staying up all night, and if I was going to make it to the evening, I needed a good nap.

Meanwhile, Felix and Daisy continued my efforts to keep Bernadette and Gabriel distracted.

But by the time I was on my feet again, there was again fighting in the front yard.

Hunger drove me up, and I figured the others could use a meal as well.

It seemed that I was right. Well, I don't suppose the inmates would turn down food, anyway. The ones that need to eat, I mean.

After eating I felt that I needed some fun and games, so I did my part in trying to keep Bernadette occupied by having a pillow fight.

I also needed to pay the bills, and I noted that Felix and Gabriel were hanging out in the front yard.

Edward kindly helped me clean up, the place was kind of a mess.

Before I knew it, it was eight o'clock again, and the transformations came.

After that, I saw it best to feed everyone once again.

After all, a fat inmate is not a problem, but a dead one is. We have quite enough ghosts here as it is.

It's actually my simself who became fat thanks to all the eating. Apparently her shirt has a broken fatmorph, so I cheated to give her the normal bodyshape again to not have to look at that. Since it's only cosmetic I figured it'd be okay.

The evening activities of the inmates were pretty predictable. I just stayed out of the way.

I spent the rest of the evening making a bit of spare food. I didn't want to repeat the recent experience, running out of time to feed everyone.

After that, I was spent and headed to bed. The others would have to manage the night the best they could.

From what I heard in the morning, they managed.

Well, some better than others, but that was to be expected.

To avoid the drama, Cecily, Daisy and Edward stayed inside. They also didn't feel like sleeping, so some coffee was had.

Outside, there was more than enough drama. When Bernadette told me she'd been scared by one of the ghosts, I was secretly wondering whether they'd had enough of the fighting too.
Gabriel's nightly passing out really feels like a blessing at this point, too.

In any case, eventually the night came to an end and I was awakened by the howls in the house and the yard. Another night over with.

And that's it for day 16. As it tends to go, I've been somewhat distracted lately, that's why the break in updates. I hope the next one takes me less time to get done. In any case, thanks for reading and until next time, happy simming!
