Katri and the Case of the Haunted Asylum, Day 21

Day 21.
Three weeks in the asylum. I can't believe it.
Today was a day off from work, so I slept a bit longer. In my situation, I'd rather have gone to work, but what can you do. At least I could use the sleep.

The werewolf transformation had cut Annie's cooking short, and apparently Bernadette insisted on finishing it. She'd been in the shower, and had apparently forgotten to put clothes on when transformed.

Regardless, she was able to cook breakfast perfectly fine. No accidents, and that's one task I don't have to do, so it suits me.

The bathroom was heavily taken in the morning, but fortunately I wasn't in a hurry today. And I suppose there are some positive sides about the multiple romatic relationships between the inmates: at least they can share the bathroom without bothering each other.

When going downstairs, I saw that Bernadette had already cooked, so I took the chance and called everyone to eat. That freed the bathroom quickly enough.

I saw that our resident plantsims were already awake too, socializing in the sun. Felix was kindly keeping company for Gabriel.

Of course, that didn't last long. I hadn't yet finished showering when I heard fighting noises from the yard.

Some of the inmates smartly stayed inside to avoid the fights.

After my shower, I came to the kitchen for breakfast too, but everyone else had already eaten at that point.

Daisy seemed to be in a good mood today. I don't really know why, but if something makes her tolerate being here, all the better.

My guess is that she made Best Friends Forever with someone, but I'm not allowed to look at the Wants, so I can't be sure.

In fact, many of the inmates seemed rather content today. At some point, things felt... almost normal.

I tried to distract Bernadette away from Gabriel, by asking her to play chess with me. I don't think she's too much into chess really, but she still joined me when I asked.

Unfortunately, that just led to Gabriel fighting with Cecily instead.

By the way, I have a feeling that Bernadette cheats at chess. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I feel like she sometimes does better than she should.

As today was a day off, I figured I could plant some more eggplants, in case I ever needed more. Not the whole field, but some, just in case.

Annie wanted to cook lunch, she had a craving for hamburgers. I felt a little worried about it with her limited cooking experience.

Fortunately, she did manage to cook some nice hamburgers for everyone. I'll admit the change in diet felt pretty good.

After lunch, it felt like everywhere was crowded. The bathroom was taken, so Daisy, who really really needed it, couldn't go. She had a bit of an accident. Unfortunately, she had it in front of the trash can, which other sims, myself included, were also trying to use.

Otherwise, things seemed peaceful for the moment. Even Gabriel was seen not fighting for a little bit.

I took the chance to relax at the piano for a bit.

At eight o'clock, at least three inmates interrupted what they were doing, because they had to become their night selves.

Two ghosts out and about tonight. I think that means it's time for me to cook again.

It doesn't look like anyone else is paying attention to food, so I suppose I have to be the sensible one, again. Well, I do suppose it's kind of my job here, too.

So it's another night of spaghetti. No one seems to be complaining, and the werewolves seem capable of devouring any amount of spaghetti. Without getting fat, too.

I saw Gabriel doing something I haven't seen him do for a while: mopping the floor. Somehow it made me hopeful: maybe the old Gabriel is still in there somewhere? We can only hope, especially for good career progress for me.

Edward said he saw one of the ghosts come inside, not to scare the inmates specifically, but to take food from the fridge. It was an odd encounter. As for me, I'm more and more convinced that this man died of hunger.

Tomorrow is a working day again, so it was time for me to call it a night and head to bed.

The others stayed up, and apparently the bathroom was the popular spot tonight.

At least one of the ghosts spotted that too, as Cecily got spooked, through Felix.

Annie was feeling a little peckish, so she made some salad, and ate a couple servings with good appetite. The others didn't seem so interested in eating, which may have had something to do with the fight going on in the bathroom.

Felix again passed out sometime in the night. At least the ghosts couldn't get to him.

Annie decided that there was not going to be any time with privacy for her, so if she was going to get washed, she'd better do it now. Gabriel and the two ladies would keep on fighting, whether she was there or not.

And the shower room was taken too, anyway.

It was a long night, but it would have to end sometime. At six o'clock, the familiar howls woke me up. It was morning again.

That's it for Day 21! I hope you enjoyed, and welcome back next time for Day 22. Until then, happy simming!
