The Bookacy Family Alphabet Journal

I've been a little restless the last couple of days, wanting to play and not wanting to play at the same time, not knowing how to settle down to do anything, so I decided to do this so I can sit down and do something.

Below the cut you'll find the Bookacy family Legacy score card. I figured I should make one and post it because a) I am playing for points, after all and b) I play by the old-old rules, which probably no-one remembers anymore, so from a score card you can pretty much see what the rules I play by are: basically, the usual no-cheating legacy rules, and then the things I get points for are listed in the card. And yeah, those are the really old-old rules, as per marry in NPCs for points and no categories etc.

I realize that this scoring is kind of points rich compared to the new rules, but well, that's part of why I like it: it feels more fulfilling to do something that takes a fair amount of effort if you get a bucketload of points for it. ;) On the other hand, I don't get points for basically things after OFB. *shrug* Also, I may adjust the scoring later, I think I might incorporate the Master points from the new rules at the first downgrade point, as per docnerd's suggestion: after each downgrade you have to re-gain the Master points if you want to select aspirations. Oh, and I shamelessly stole the score card format idea from pnkpnthr334 as I happened to stumble into it.

Alright, time for me to share some sims!

I've now made public the new Bookacy download archive I've been working on. It's still in the works, though, it currently contains everyone up until generation B. I'll slowly continue with generation C whenever I have the time and motivation.

Also, I'll be now taking down my old downloads page on LJ, so that no one accidentally downloads the not-so-clean sims anymore now that there is a better alternative available. If you happen to want someone who's not in the new archive yet, just ask, I can at least get you the clean extracted sim, if not the cc-version right away.

Alright, I believe I promised you some BTS for chapter 33, so here goes. The following is, naturally, spoilery for chapter 33.

Alright. I suppose that's just about all I had for today's BTS. When I wasn't being blocked (and for a loooooong time I was, and it was terrible), this was a really interesting chapter to write, one I'd been looking forward to a long time. But so should be the next one. I'm currently working on a the autumn rotation in Alphabetia, getting started on the wedding and baby paloozas - I think I've earned it. But sometime during the (sim) autumn or winter, plottiness will be happening, too... Eventually, there'll be chapter 34. But before then, there's playing to be done, and I think picspam to be posted too, when I have some. :)

So, still here, as you can see. Haven't been posting lately, as there hasn't really been anything to post. I've still been quietly playing the Terranos and enjoying just playing, without any picture, plot or other pressures. It's been really nice.

Now that LJ seems to work again at least for the moment, I thought I'd babble on a little.

I don't know where this thing is going yet, but I have to say that it does feel good to be more inspired again.

Alright, I believe I promised some grow-up spam a while ago. In fact, these pics have been sitting on my computer for about a week, as I've put off putting up the picspam, because it's so HUGE. Meanwhile, I've been busy extracting, re-dressing and re-extracting sims, and now I should have a no-cc version of everyone who is at least an adult at this point. Missing are some supporting characters, like count Pao, whom I'll need to first de-vamp, then extract and then re-vamp. (I'm not sure if I can get Lauren, apparently I'd need to de-witch, extract and re-witch to get rid of the poison green skin, but I'd like her to stay the grand witch still.) There's still a long way to go for the download archive, but at least I've gotten started.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, on with the picspam!

Phew, that sure was a loooong picpam! But, now those growings up are done for a while, and I get to look forward to some weddings and babies in Alphabetia. Yay! :)

So, undefeated by Gadwin, I went back to my most recent backup - and luckily, with me fearing computer explosion, it was from just before the playsession that didn't go on tape. And I re-played it to where I was. Now with pictures!

So. I'm not dead, nor have I dropped off the face of the Earth.

What is it then that I've been doing? Well, I've made some nice progress with the Bookacies. I've finished the quickie rotation in the main hood, and I've started writing, I've got currently 35 slides of the next update written. I should write a little bit more to see how the update shapes up, and then I should do some plotty photoshooting. So that's all good.

Ramble-y and pointless post is ramble-y and pointless. Just wanted to pop by and say something. So I have. Now I think I'll get a nice, hot shower and get ready for bed. Good night, all!

So, many people on my f-list and elsewhere have lately posted to-do lists on their simming projects, and I've been meaning to compose one myself for a while. Maybe it'll make me feel more organized about it and possibly even get me started on some of it. So, in no particlurar order:
