Alright, finally got this one done! The fift part of week 4 is here, so it's time for the Broke TPC. I hope you enjoy the update, and if you feel inclined to comment, feel free to do so wherever it's most convenient for you.
Ooooh, yes, TPCs are pretty challenging, aren't they? Not enough beds to go around and no way to afford any.
Since when has the ability to afford a baby played into a TPC's decision to have them or not?
...Is -- is that Oberon falling in love with Coral Oldie? Ooooh, you HAVE to find a way to play them so we can see that!
I find the semi-uncontrollable kids to be one of the hardest parts of this challenge. Am I allowed to give this command? What about that one? Ooooh, did I do the wrong thing when I told them to do that?
I feel you on the illegitimate pregnancy thing! You wouldn't think it would be all that hard, given how easy it is to fall in love in a vanilla game, and with ACR pushing sims towards woohoo right and left... (Of course, I don't play with ACR, but you do.)
Jeff seems to be quite competent. I'm impressed!
You can't delete the out-of-stock items with moveobjects? Hmmmm... Does the trailer have a flat roof? If so, perhaps you could move everything up to on top of the roof? You could pretend it's like the Frisbees and baseballs that get stuck up there all the time, plus TV antennas and maybe everyone had a little too much juice and decided to see if they could throw their shoes up there or something.
Wow, that's pretty embarrassing to have your dad make friends for you! At least it seems to have worked?
Congratulations on such a successful round! Keep up the good work! :D
Yep, TPC is definitely a challenge, the lack of money being probably the biggest factor. Playing around that is quite some trickery!
No, it really doesn't play into it much at all. If it did, there just basically would be no babies. :P
Yeah, Oberon and Herb have been romancing on ACR pretty much since the beginning of Lakewood. They're pretty cute together. If a suitable challenge pop up, who knows we might see more of them at some point. Not for a while though I don't think, I'm trying to keep myself from just moving in a bunch of sims, to keep the amount of playable sims somehow reasonable.
Yeah, the semi-autonomous kids rule is kind of hard to interpret, I've just been playing it by the ear and trying not to worry about it too much.
Yeah, illegitimate kids have been surprisingly hard! Well, really only in the TPC, where they're actually encouraged: in the uglacy, Bella just went and randomly got herself pregnant when that wasn't in the plans at all. :P I think there must be something in there like with the twins: the game (or possibly ACR, or both) KNOWS.
Jeff is pretty competent, I quite like him. Making friends is perhaps the hardest part, so while it's pretty amazing, I think he just has to accept help from his parents there.
Hmm, now I'm suddenly not sure if I tried with move_objects on. I think I may have to yet try the next time I play the Brokes, thanks Esme! It would be the nicest if I could just get rid of the stuff, as it's only bound to multiply with time. But if that fails, I may have to resort to the roof (it's flat now that the family could afford to flatten it after the yard sale). I kind of have other plans there too, but if nothing else helps, that may be what I have to do.

Thanks again for reading and commenting, Esme! ^^
