I don't know if you've seen this yet... But I only by chance saw it yesterday, so I thought I'd post.

I logged onto my sim page yesterday, just as it occurred to me that I hadn't checked for guestbook entries for a while. I had none, but instead in my message box was this:

Many users are experiencing "Code error 5" when uploading to the Exchange. We are aware of the issue and are working toward a fix. We do not have an ETA on a fix at this time. However, we know how important the Exchange is to our users and are sorry for this inconvenience.

So, trying not to get my hopes up too much, but maybe the Exchange will actually be fixed some time.

Yeah, I think that's been there awhile. I first saw it Pre-Sims3 release and from what I've seen there haven't been any other statements since then. I'm not that hopeful at the moment. I do expect that they will get it active again at some point, I suspect that they are attempting to encourage people to find other methods of sharing so that they won't need to fund Sims2 any longer.

Ah. I knew people had seen some kind of announcement somewhere, but I hadn't seen it. And as this one seemed to be dated yesterday, I thought it would surely be new. But to come to think of it, it could very well be that it seems to be dated yesterday only because I logged in yesterday and that's when they managed to deliver it to me.

Oh well. It would be nice if the Exchange did in fact start working again, it would make things simpler for me, and I like the format. But if it doesn't I'll just have to keep publishing here or figure something else out.
