Winter picspam, part 4
Time for another installment of picspam. Three more houses can be found under the cut, with slightly less pictures than in the previous installments.
The Lillard household
Author + Count Curtis -> Adson + Rebecca -> Barry + Laura -> Chloe + Ryker -> Derek
First up today, we have the Lillard household. This household is in its first generation, with the adults being Chloe, who's one of the four daughters of Barry and Laura, and Ryker, her husband and former placeholder of the Bookacy Greek House Greek House. In the beginning of the rotation, Chloe is heavily pregnant.

But not for long. Time for another gen. D member to make an appearence!

Daddy Ryker there has a family secondary, and is all "have a baby +8000".

Meet Derek Lillard, firstborn son of Chloe and Ryker. (Yes, it's another boy. Nothing wrong with boys, but at this point, game, I'd like to have some variety, please.) Derek's another third cousin to the main line.

Chloe, I know you're quite skilled and everything, but I'd prefer if you didn't demonstrate any telekinesis abilities with your newborn son. Thanks.

This happens a lot in conversations. I'm not sure who Ryker is talking to anymore, but during this rotation I've found that indeed, even sims from other families can announce pregnancies to the current family during phone calls (and visits). And there are some pregnant sims around right now.

Oh yeah. after a bit of waiting, Ryker got the Science job he wanted, and makes nice progress in it too. Trevor also works in the field, and came home with Ryker.

Trevor and Ryker have a lot in common, apparently also hobbies. They socialized quite a lot on their own.

Chloe and Ryker live in the same apartment complex as Bill and Sandy from the previous installment of picspam. As you can see, they aren't entirely exclusive. And no, Bill isn't upset about catching Sandy in the tub with a neighbor. He's only footstomping because he'd like to join the fun and can't. (It never fails to amuse me when that happens.)

Time for little Derek to grow up already!

There he is! My notes say that Derek is a 10/3/9/3/1 Scorpio.

See? Bill's not upset at all. He's totally cool.

Ryker and Trevor even made buddies, and apparently Trevor wanted to, too.

Here's Derek post-makeover. He's totally a daddy's buddy in that outfit.

He also quickly discovered his OTH, which is Science. Daddy's buddy, as I said.

Ryker must have been looking through the telescope again, he does that a lot.

Some of the best faces are made... when potty training a toddler, believe it or not.

Chloe tops Intelligence, and scores a bunch of points for it. It's not her LTW though, she wants to max all skills. That'll take some more time.

Apparently she has some time to skill now, since she's just been placed on maternity leave.

I invited Barry and Laura over for Derek's birthday, so they could get to know their grandson a bit. It seems they had something else they needed to take care of first.

Poor Barry. He thought to tickle Derek, but Derek did not want to be tickled. I don't usually see toddlers rejecting interactions.

After a couple of talks and snuggles though, Derek was up for tickles as well, and then all was good. (It's interesting how snuggles can apparently be ok even if tickles are not. I'd almost think it'd be the other way around.)

And, birthday time yet again!

And here's yet Derek again made over. He's still cute. And this birthday concludes the rotation at the Lillard household. Next!
The Ruben household
Author + Count Curtis -> Adson + Rebecca -> Barry + Laura -> Calista + Joshua -> Dewey, Donny
Next up are Chloe's twin sister Calista and her fresh husband Joshua Ruben. Like Chloe, Calista took her husband's name when getting married, and like Chloe, also she is pregnant at the beginning of the rotation.

One of the first things I learned this rotation was that Joshua is super active. When left on his own, he's got an idea what to do in about two seconds or less.

I also learned that yes, a two-person household is a sitting duck for burglars, still. And that this time, I forgot to get them a burglar alarm. You're a fortune sim, Joshua, get your but outta bed quick!
Burglar: "TV or piano, TV or piano?"

And naturally, things co-occur.
Joshua: "Please come quickly, someone is stealing my piano and my wife's just went to labor!"

"Be careful, burglars can be dangerous!"
Yes they can, I know, he's about to take the care next! COME ON, officer!

Meet Dewey Ruben, who was born slightly before his father rushed to watch a burglar fight. (Yep, another boy.)

Well, actually, Calista rushed to watch the birth too.

"Yikes, that burglar is suddenly very scary when defeated and being cuffed!"

Regardless of burglars, Dewey is much adored.

And apparently won't be an only child, either.

And now comes the moment of truth. Joshua has a broken face template, and after moving him in with Calista, I attempted to fix it according to instructions on MATY. Now we'll find out whether that worked - whether Dewey looks at all like him.

Okay, well, technically the moment of truth comes *now*. Something went wrong the first time and Dewey wouldn't grow up.

Anddd... I'd say that this means success. No elf-ears, but rather those small round ears that Joshua has, and also a smallish, round nose, again resembling Joshua. Hooray! The mouth is Calista's I think.

Life centers around Dewey a lot, but especially Joshua finds time for all kinds of activities.

And then comes time to meet the secondborn of the family. So, meet Donny Ruben - surprise surprise, a boy. Oh well, welcome to the family anyway.

So, we'll leave Calista and Joshua to enjoy their little ones, and move over to yet a third house.
The Mendoza household
Author + Salahuddin -> Aadam + Joy -> Barbara + Tara -> Cory
So, as the final household this time around we have the Mendozas, who I'm sure you'll even remember. The elders of the house are Aadam and his wife Joy, and the adults are their daughter Barbara and her fresh wife Tara. They also have a dog, his name is Benny.

So, a lot of regular stuff going on. Going to work, getting promotions, skilling, playing instruments... Aadam doesn't have a career-related LTW anymore (he's family secondary and wants to have a Golden Anniversary, aww), so I let him retire.

And well, that's good, since something exciting and time consuming is about to happen to Aadam.

Joy: "Honey, what's that tombstone? I didn't think anyone has died here?"

Aadam: "Tombstone, what tombstone?"
Katri: *hums a lullaby*

Tara has a lot of best friends now. 10, I think.

Barbara demonstrated for me the stuff face -interaction - naturally while Tara was preparing actual food.

Barbara's sister, Beatrice, invited herself over.

So yes, Barbara did get pregnant. Usually my rule is that gay sims will adopt if they seem to want kids, same-sex pregnancies aren't commonplace in Alphabetia. But as it turned out that *both* of Aadam's daughters like girls, I decided that a former Mad Scientist would be able to help Barbara and Tara out. Because I want his (and Sal's) genetics to live on. Just one baby. If I feel like it, they might adopt later, but for now, I'll go with one.

Joy still wants to top Entertainment, so she's working on that. In the process she earned 100,000 simoleans and was quite pleased.

Tara finally found an opening in the Slacker career, so now she can proceed towards her LTW as well.

"Yoohoo! I'm having a baby!"

I don't think I've caught a sim in labor crouching in pain like that before. For a moment, I was a little bit scared, although to my understanding a labor can't go wrong in the sims.

Aadam didn't seem entirely confidence about his Science Tricks at the moment either.

But in the end all went well and both Barbara and Tara got to meet someone new, +1000.

Meet Cory Mendoza, son of Barbara and Tara. The boy invasion continues.

Aadam: "Hmm, what was that stink cloud again sign of, hunger?"

Anyway, Cory is muchly adored by all.

And with this rare gem, a totally silly and clearly, unmistakably happy smile from Aadam, I think it's good to end this household as well as today's picspam.
So, that's it for today. There's only three more houses to go in the main hood, and at the moment I'm playing the last one of those. Whee! Then I believe it's time to take a backup, possibly do some maintenance type stuff, and then it's two households of college (graduations, yay!) before I get to start again from the main household.
