Weekly simming 21/2015

Still kind of distracted. Currently by Portal 2; I apparently have to play that series through every so often, when I've conveniently forgotten the solutions.

I may also have *ahem* accidentally grabbed a copy of TS4 with my groceries from the supermarket this week. I came to the conclusion that either I'll get it or I'll feel tempted until it's no longer available. So I did get it, installed it, and played a bit yesterday. It was fun so far. (My sim managed to catch herself on fire, then extinguished herself on my command, otherwise nothing particularly dramatic happened.)

I don't currently intend to start any challenges or anything, just play for fun when I feel like it. I might share a picture or two occasionally, if I get around to finding out how to take them (the last I recall, Gadwin didn't like fullscreen).

I did, however, finish playing the Davidsons' second week, and I posted some pictures. I've written a bit too, but haven't really typed as I played this time. Oh well, it happens. At least now I intend to follow the rule of not playing forward before I write.

I hope to get some writing done next week, but we'll see. There's some real life stuff to be expected, especially during the weekend, and well, my current distraction level doesn't promise miracles. Well, one step at a time.

I agree with you, TS4 is very much a 'just for fun' game. I wouldn't want to try tell a plotty legacy with it, anyway! Also, I don't think the in-game camera distorts pictures the way it did in TS2 - it's all I use, anyway.

:)

Well, that's good, since I've definitely got my hands full with the current challenges and plottiness I've got in TS2 - I don't exactly need another game like that! Or so that little voice in my head says, the one that argues that I can't just sim all the time. :)

Oh, so there is an in-game camera, I hadn't discovered it yet! :D Thanks, I'll have to investigate that.

Press 'C', just like in TS2. :) I don't know if you're mac or windows, but they show up in Documents>Electronic Arts>Sims 4>Screenshots on mine :)

Ah yes, found them, there they are for me too. :) So now I've got the pictures covered, thank you!
