Progress!
Progress is being made, hooray for progress!
So as I have been mentioning, I've been playing the rotation as I write the double update, sort of alternating the two. It seems to work kind of nicely, I don't get bored with either. And the time when my game loads/saves/switches households is time well spent writing on the laptop.
Anyway! I've just today played the rotation through Chris and Cyrus, for which I was very excited. I'll probably do some sort of rotational picspam after I get the chapter out (and probably mostly uncommented, since I'll have a big backlog by then), but I thought I could share a few things from these two now. You know, the part where they *gasp* get married and stuff.

Alright, Cyrus, time to get the party started!

Carl: "I'd laugh at you guys for flirting in the bush, but apparently I'm watching you flirt in the bush - in the bush."

Chip made a new best friend. And if he looks a little odd in color, I think it's because he spent too much time outside at someone's house.

Instant formalwear! Much better. I only recently learned that trick, and I think I love Sim Blender for it.

And THIS is why the REAL wedding will *not* be making it into th chapter.
No! Bad Claire, no! I know and appreciate that you're a romance sim, but you no can has! Poor boy is confused enough as it is!

Didn't I tell you? NO! *sigh* So apparently either I forgot to friends zone them, or it was a base game flirt. Will have to do some slapfesting again next rotation, then.

"I want to sit at the computer the whole wedding!"
"No, *I* want to sit at the computer the whole wedding!"
"You're both wrong, because *I am* already sitting at the computer! Nyah nyah."

"I'm getting married! Finally!"
"And your cell phone is ringing."

And where are the guests? Well playing kicky bag of course.

A whole two of them made it for the ceremony. Also one reason why the real wedding won't make it to the chapter. :P Luckily I was wise enough to shoot it all beforehands. *pats self on back*

Inappropriate heart farts are inappropriate.

Chris: "Hey, congrats on getting left at the altar by that professor guy. You weren't meant to marry him in the first place."

Cho: "Well thank you. I think I like you. A lot."

All in all, it was a great party. Final score: roof raiser. I think one reason Chris and Cyrus were (easily) able to make it a roof raiser, is that they don't have a stereo. In all houses where I have a stereo, sims will just rush dancing at the first opportunity, and the hosts have a tough time getting them off the steoreo to socialize. If there's no stereo, well the "well, I guess I should talk to someone, then" -mentality strikes or something.
And finally, I think I can't not share. It took a whole rotation of trying, but at the very end...

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *is excited* Oh, but now I have to wait a whole rotation until I next play this house. Bummer.
(On the other hand, there are several other babies I'm going to meet in the process, so yay.)
So such was going on in-game. But what about the chapter? Are you writing too, Katri?
Yes, I'm writing too, why do you ask? *shifty* Actually, that too is going nicely. The extended family part of the double update is nearly done. I've now written all the families' stories as I intended, now all I've got to do is add a little discussion here and there to tie things a bit better. And it looks like I might get it all done in *gasps again* just about 200 slides, or in the best scenario, even less. Hooray.
So now that that is so well underway, today I started on the second, plotty part of the update. A.k.a the really fun part. I've got arount ten slides written, and the total of that will most likely be somewhere in the 100 to 120 range.
So all in all, things are moving forward, both in game and in writing. Not bad!
