Lakewood BaCC: Week 3, Part 4 + (early) Weekly simming 26/2016

Well, first things first, we have an update! That was closer to done than I thought. As always, comments are welcome wherever you might feel inclined to leave them. I hope you enjoy!

Second of all, I'm doing this week's Weekly simming a day early, because from tomorrow on, I'll be mostly offline for about a week. The biggest news of the week is that since yesterday evening, I'm officially on VACATION! Whee! *dances around* So first I'll be a bit absent, then likely more present again.

As for this week's simming, well, it mostly consists of the above. I got to sim a little most evenings this week, and I was pretty good about typing as I played this go around, so tonight, I got to post the update. So very nice progress there.

Also, I did a little bit of writing for the Bookacies on the side. That chapter now stands at 76 slides written. Little by little. I hope to have some nice progress on that during the vacation. That is, once I'm back online again.

I've never really played outings before, so it'll be interesting to see the positive results from them!

The kids are cute, I like how everyone in the family has a name beginning with 'D'! :)

And making some progress with that LTW is always good, too!

Enjoy your vacation :D

Outings are kind of new to me too; I've tried them before on a couple of occasions, but never successfully. I think I tried with too big groups to begin with. Now it's fun to actually see them succeed and get the positive outcomes. :)

I often do that with names if I don't have to follow any particular naming rules: I give the kids names starting with the same letter as one of the parents. In this case, it leads to a lot of D's. ;)

Daniel F. didn't maybe have as much time for dating as I would have liked this week, but every little bit counts. Plus I'm planning to add more townies now that the first BD is unlocked, so next week he should have some more sims to date too.

Vacation time is the best, I'm really enjoying it. :) Thanks for reading and commenting! ^^

Yep, some people have morning sickness that lasts all day, and all pregnancy. (My sister is one; Kate Middleton is another.) Sims are lucky.

I'm wondering now if I read this without commenting sometime in the past, as the art gallery looks very familiar. I remembered it because it's a nice art gallery. :) And why wouldn't there be a little bench and fountain? Perhaps that's where the sculptures are.

Congratulations on a successful outing! :)

Dora and Donte both look cute! :)

If you have a hack inhibiting townie generation, the earliest-created playable children are the most likely to come home on the school bus. That's just what the game pulls.

Can you pick your sims' asiprations in a BACC? Because when kids spontaneously keep rolling Wants to learn things, that's when I choose Knowledge for them.

Fun update! :)

I'll catch up on more later... It's getting late now.

Hooray, Esme comments! ^^

Ow, that sounds like no fun at all... Yep, sims are definitely lucky in that respect!

Thanks. :) That's a nice idea about the sculptures, I think I should add some sculptures to the gallery at some point. *nods*

Thanks! I think my mistake before with outings has been to start with too many sims. Now that I've been experimenting with two, it's been quite doable. Harder than dates, though.

They're quite the cuties, I agree. The Daniels' genetics seem to mix well.

Yeah, I think I do have various hack preventing the game from generating a ridiculous amount of different kinds of townies, so that may be (part of) the reason. Bonita Curious is the oldest kid (currently the only teen) of the generation, so I suppose that makes sense. Not sure what the game does in Alphabetia, where the most frequent school bus friends are Desdemona and Danya, both youngest children of their families. At least Desdemona is a Pop sim (not sure about Danya right now), so I figured that might have to do with it. In any case, I quite like seeing playables visiting each other. :)

Yes, the BaCC rules don't say anything about rolling for aspirations, so depending on the side challenge I'd be allowed to choose for some sims. I think the Fortunatos would be a case like that, unless I misremember the Pure Entrepreneur rules. I'm so used to always randomizing though, that I tend to do that even if I didn't strictly speaking need to. :)

Thanks Esme, and thanks for reading and commenting! ^^ We'll be here for more catching up when you have the time. :)
