Bookacy update!

At long last, I bring you chapter 39 of the Bookacies! I did my round of editing and cover-making today, weeding out a bunch of repetition and inconsistencies. So it seems I've now made my CreMo goal, which is a first for me. :) Anyway, click on the cover to read, and both Slideshare and Scribd versions are available. As usual, comments are welcome here or on my Boolprop thread. I hope you enjoy!

Nice chapter :) I admire people who do so much with their big families.

I need to try a bird one of these times.

Congrats on meeting your goal!

Thanks! The big family is definitely a challenge, already keeping everyone fed and bathed and such takes some time and energy, and then there are the extra things to do in legacies... But well, thankfully it's still fun. :)

The bird thing was sort of fun, Chunni was an attraction for both family members and visitors, and she was cute too. If you are going to try it, it's best to have the caged pet fixes from MATY in place, otherwise they'll starve very easily.

Thanks! It feels good to have an update out again. :) Thanks for reading and commenting!

Well, of course Nicholas and Dirk should be told about all the stuff about Sunny’s protection! After all, they need to be prepared in case Sal breaks loose or something else bad happens.

Welcome to the world, Desdemona! You’ll definitely fit right into your family. And it’s also nice to see Marylena’s blonde hair in her too; makes some nice genetic diversity as well.

Oh, Melody Tinker. You can just go away and try not to mess with Dirk. I’ve heard of all the bad things you’ve done in other stories, so shoo!

Okay, so this comment isn't much, but I’m glad to say that it’s nice to see the Bookacies again. :)

Indeed. The worst thing the family could do now would be to lull themselves into a false sense of security. Sal may be locked up, and it may seem secure, but he might not be the only one out there, even if the jail is secure enough, he won't be there forever.

Desdemona will definitely fit right in. And I'm glad that she got the blond hair too, it suits her and gives some variety.

Yeah, the thing with Melody didn't go so well. There was some attraction and some initial flirting, but somehow it turned into arguments pretty soon (although those ended up on the cutting room floor). I've heard those stories about her too, so maybe it's best that she stay away from Dirk.

It's good to see the Bookacies moving on again. :) Thanks for reading and commenting!

Mothers always know things you think they shouldn't. *nodnod*

You know, before I had tests, my mom would serve me an egg-and-grilled-cheese sandwich. Since it has a lot of protien, it was 'brain food" and helped me do better.

Protections and fences are sensible, and they're all very well, but what about teaching the kids self-defense, too? Just in case? Defensive magic or kickboxing or something.

:) at Dorian understanding commands "when he felt like it."

Out of time, but I'll leave part 2 of the comment later tonight! :)

Part 2 of my comment, as promised!
I hope Desdemona has a happier life than her namesake. She's a cutie-pie!

Poor Dirk being disappointed by Melody. :( I hope he meets a nice girl someday. And yes, listen to Nicholas -- he knows about love troubles!

Dirk has to be the heir, right? The other two aren't eligible, and making a decision is jut Plot? (Or am I misremembering the rules?)

All the kids are super cute, and it's good to see the family so happy! :)
Keep up the good work! :)

Yes, I think they do, and Marylena is definitely the type to know these things without telling.

Having eaten well is definitely a good thing in an exam. *nodnod*

Hmm, self-defence may not be a bad idea for the kids. *ponders* Though I think that none of the adults expect any immediate threat. We'll see if this occurs to them. :)

That's my understanding of how toddlers function. ;)

Desdemona is definitely a cutie! I think the name predicts her a happy life, seeing that most of my sims don't end up resembling their namesakes at all. :D Well, I hope so, I'm sort of still enjoying the break from the drama zone.

Dirk's teenage love life hasn't been the most succesful, but I'm sure he'll find someone later. He will if I have anything to say about it! ;)

Well, the decision-making is mostly just plot, yes. :) Technically, Dorian and Desdemona are eligible, but I'd lose the point for having Eric in the main bloodline, which of course strongly favors Dirk. And, he even rolled an aspiration I didn't have in the main line previously, so that pretty much sealed the deal for me.

The kids have all got good looks, I'm quite happy to see that. And, I think after all the trouble previously, the family now deserves some happiness. :)

Thanks for reading and commenting! ^^
