Day 8.
At the crack of dawn, I got up again. I can't believe we've been here a week already.

The day started by cursing our lacking bathroom facilities. Damn budget cuts.

Next in our routine was breakfast, the most important meal of the day.

And then, sigh, job-seeking. Still no Architecture positions. This is honestly pretty terrible.

Again, there was nothing to do except to head out and work in the garden once more. At least Felix and Gabriel seemed reasonably happy when I saw them on the way there.

But the real good news of the day was that our tomatoes were ripe! So after I finished weeding them, it was time to sell them. That netted us a good sum of money, it should fill the fridge a few times. I also had some company for my work outside.

I probably wouldn't have the time to plant a new round of vegetables today, but I did fertilize the ground from the compost. With a silver badge, I should be able to start growing eggplants now, and that was the whole point of this excercise!

But that wasn't to happen right now. We had a house full of inmates to feed.

Despite the rather glum looking job situation – and our lacking facilities – Bernadette seemed rather happy for some reason. I don't know if that's a cause for joy or perhaps worry, maybe it's the asylum getting to her? Well, if that's the case, there are worse ways I suppose. In any case, I think Cecily would appreciate it if she got some kind of privacy, happy distracted roommates or not.

Again, I have no idea what could suddenly make Bernadette so happy. Some big BFF want perhaps? Well, good for her, and good for me.

I was wondering why no one had been playing the piano for a bit. Well, it was all out of tune, that's why. I'm no piano specialist, but I did what I could, and learned something about the mechanical skill while I was at it.

Of course, after I was done, I got some practice in myself.

The sounds of the night interrupted me. It was the time for ghosts and werewolves, two and three, respectively.

Dinner was had with mixed feelings tonight. Bernadette and Gabriel were looking quite happy, but poor Cecily was having a rather hard time. It's especially tough being a Fortune sim in a place like this.

I had to order more food again. I'm constantly amazed by how much food we need, but the groceries delivery man seemed unfazed. I suppose he's seen everything.

I had a bit of time yet before bed, so I practiced my piano playing. Cecily didn't seem too impressed, but then again, she's gotten in a lot more practice than I have.

I don't think Felix is doing too well. He seems to insist flirting with Bernadette, and right in front of Gabriel too. Fortunately there was no argument, as again Bernadette turned him down.

There wasn't really much that I could do for poor Felix, or Gabriel and Bernadette for that matter, so I decided it was for the best if I got some much needed sleep.

The embarassing even just got worse for Felix after I went to bed. Daisy reported that he got shot down for a makeout, and rather publicly. It can't be easy being a Pleasure sim here either.

Fortunately, the rest of the night was quieter. Even Felix found Annie to keep him company in the yard so he could distract himself from Bernadette for a bit.

Cecily's piano playing got a lot more of an enthusiastic response than mine did previously. I'll admit it, she's quite a lot better at it than I am. I just wish she'd stick to calm melodies at nighttime, as the brisk marches aren't helping me sleep exactly.

I was awakened by werewolf howls and plantsim cries for sunlight. Oh well, that at least meant that someone was alive. It was morning, and we'd made it through another day and night.

That wraps up day 8. Thanks for reading, and happy simming!
