Day 22.
Finally, a working day ahead of me. Maybe today I can make some real progress.

The bathroom was taken of course, so before doing anything else, I made myself some breakfast juice. In the hopes of gaining a suitable skill point and improving my aspiration for work. There were still portions of salad left over from last night, so the others could eat that first.

Next, I needed to order some groceries. Yet again, we'd eaten the fridge empty.

When I peeked through the window, things seemed almost good. Gabriel was upset, as usual, but at least no one was fighting at the moment.

I quickly took out some cereal for the inmates, as there wasn't enough of the salad for everyone. Then I downed a quick glass of juice myself before heading to work. I couldn't quite get myself to platinum, but this was going to have to be enough.

After I left for work, things were apparently peaceful for a bit, thanks to Felix keeping Gabriel distracted.

Unfortunately, his two former lovers were quick to track him down and take turns to make him cry.

The others tried to stay out of the way the best they could. Edward decided that since he wanted to watch some tv, he would watch some tv, and that was that.

Felix went outside for a break, to avoid the fights and to hopefully get some sun energy while he was at it.

Several inmates took a nap, too.

Daisy has been into the piano lately. She took the relatively peaceful afternoon to practice.

Annie said she used the opportunity to bathe in peace.

She and Felix also tried to keep Gabriel company, to spare everyone the fighting.

As for me? I suppose the saying "so close but so far" applies here. Sigh. I was well on my way to a promotion today: I had fulfilled all the criteria, and my work performance meter was looking good. I even dodged a similar situation where I got demoted earlier, by handing the whole situation to a coworker. But an hour before my shift's end, I got word that I'd lost a friend, and unfortunately I was no longer eligible for a promotion today.

My new strategy is "no more chance cards". This is not an apocalypse, so we aren't required to take them.

There was nothing to do but to get on the phone after work. I suppose I put too much weight on my skills, and too little on the friends part. I had a long discussion with Nina Caliente.

So long in fact, that I was startled by the werewolf howls. It was already eight o'clock.

Time for me to get a move on, and take care of the garden.

There was again one ghost out tonight, the man I suspect died of hunger.

Perhaps he's upset when others get to eat, as he managed to scare me while I was cooking dinner.

Cecily insisted on finishing my interrupted cooking.

About time, too, as Annie was already rooting in the trash for food.

Cecily unfortunately burned the spaghetti, but as nothing else burned, that was minor details.

Soon after our late dinner, both Felix and Gabriel were seen passed out in the yard. I think everyone was kind of relieved in Gabriel's case.

I couldn't lay down just yet, I had work around the house to do.

My dinner consisted of some eggplant juice, and I managed to get myself platinum with that too. That should be helpful tomorrow at work.

Our ghost clearly hadn't given up being vengeful for tonight. He managed to catch Bernadette in the kitchen.

As I climbed upstairs, I found that Annie had wisely retreated there as well, out of the way of ghosts and fighting. Although I think it was the piano that drew her there.

In any case, the inmates would have to manage with the ghost on their own for the rest of the night. I needed a good night's sleep for tomorrow's workday, so I headed to bed.

The night was rather peaceful, with Felix and especially Gabriel passed out. There was some cleaning.

And there were of course public displays of affection. It rather amused the other inmates that Bernadette, of all sims, was so shocked to see them.

Towards the morning, the inmates were getting hungry. Cecily was seen digging in the trash can.

Annie was kind enough to cook an early breakfast.

Before they could get to eating it however, the clock struck six and it was time for the werewolves to transform. We'd survived another night.

That's it for Day 22! It's a surprisingly long way, isn't it? Well, I hope you enjoyed and wish you welcome back for Day 23. Until then, happy simming!
