Katri and the Case of the Haunted Asylum, Day 26

Day 26.

Another day here, another entry in my diary. It's weird and scary, I'm almost used to being locked up here.



I try to keep such thoughts out of my head, they don't help if we are to get out of here. Fortunately, Daisy and Edward made me smile as I headed downstairs. At least they can still keep their spirits up.



I'll try to, too, and maybe routines can keep me going. Morning cereal once again, keeping everyone fed.



And judging by the appetite of our inmates, I think it's highly needed.



I glanced outside and saw that Felix and Gabriel were both waking up in the yard. Felix next to a big pile of trash, I'm not sure what happened with that.



Thankfully, Felix was kind enough to compost the trash for me.



I could use a quick Aspiration boost before heading to work, so I talked to Gabriel about games for a short while.



After that, I got inside to have a shot of eggplant juice, again for my Aspiration. By the time I got to making it, there was already a fight going on on the front porch. I could only hope it'd be over before I had to go to work.



Well then, off to work I was, and relieved to leave all the drama behind, at least for the day.





Several of the other inmates spent the forenoon avoiding it, too.



While the usual suspects were at it again on the porch.



Felix did some cleaning, although the leaking shower undid his handiwork before I got back from work. Still, it was nice of him.



He also engaged in a discussion with Gabriel, and probably surpressed fighting for a while with that.





Some of the inmates took the chance to have a nice late afternoon nap.



Finally, the workday ended, and I was happy to come home with a promotion. I'm finally a real Architect! Only three steps to go before realizing my dream.



I seemed to have come back to a fight at the porch. Can't say I'm surprised.





I didn't want to get caught in the middle of that, so I decided to take care of some business outside. There were some almost overdue bills to pay, and of course my garden needed some care.





Once the doorway was free, I had some chores to do inside too. The dirty stove had bothered me for days, and the shower was apparently leaking again. Now that I know that I have tomorrow off, I can spend some time taking care of these things.


As I passed by, I saw Felix and Bernadette playing ball in the living room. Not perhaps the wisest of choices, but well, this is supposedly a mental asylum.


Edward continues to be one of the happiest inmates. I suppose it makes sense, as being friendly makes his Popularity sim heart happy, and he's on good terms with everyone. Even Gabriel.



It was time for me to order some more food. Once again, we'd managed to eat the fridge empty.



Soon afterwards, the clock hit eight again and it was time for the nightly transformations.



I was pretty prompt with dinner, we were all hungry already.



Right on time too, as our nightly ghost visitor was already out and floating.



Everyone was as safe as I could make them, so after dinner I had some phone time for myself. It wouldn't do to lose a relationship at this time. Actually, I needed to make a couple of new ones for my next promotion. Good thing tomorrow is a day off, so I can hopefully get to know someone new too.



Not surprisingly, hearing was a bit hard at times.



Annie was able to distract Cecily and Bernadette at least momentarily with jokes, if not the most tasteful ones.



I took advantage of the relative peace and snuck off to bed. If I was to qualify for another promotion when I went back to work, tomorrow's day off would be a busy one.



Apparently the night was relatively uneventful. Felix and Annie played some chess.



Of course, you can guess how Gabriel's night was. The others left him to fight his exes (and lose) and concentrated on other matters.



At some point, Annie snuck upstairs to play the piano.



Really, it was more of the usual.



Some time late into the night, both Felix and Gabriel were found in the yard, passed out from lack of sunlight.



That's when even Bernadette and Cecily could have a couple hours of peace. Bernadette amused herself, while Cecily took turns with Daisy to enjoy Edward's company.



That's where they were at when the clock struck six. The night was over, time to return to daylight. Our 27^th day was ahead of us.
