Day 30.
It's officially been a month. And now, we're so close, yet so far. Two promotions to go, and then... freedom?

When I went downstairs, it seemed that most of the inmates were already outside, or perhaps still outside. Felix and Gabriel were still passed out as the first rays of sun landed on them, and Cecily and Edward were playing catch, with Daisy watching them.
If I were Edward, I probably wouldn't play catch with Cecily.

I made breakfast as usual, and this time I actually sat down to eat with the inmates, as one of the perks of being high up in Architecture is later mornings.
I said to Bernadette that I hoped for some peace on the final stretch here in the facility.

I should have known that wish was utterly doomed. We hadn't even finished breakfast, when Felix decided to flirt with Bernadette. While it hadn't bothered Cecily before, now it certainly did.

Dammit. Of course they had to do a base game flirt so very close to the end and send themselves to jealousy hell.

Felix had to rush back outside for some urgent sunlight, but that didn't save his skin. Cecily marched right after him and gave him a piece of her mind.

And of course, as Gabriel was outside too, more conflict couldn't be avoided.

Despite all this, I was still on a mission. I had fulfilled all my promotion requirements, but still needed to gain some Aspiration to maximize my mood before work. The quickest way to do that, I decided, was drinking some more eggplant juice for skill points.

That strategy was a successful one. I managed to maximize my creativity skill, which made me quite happy.

That was just as well, as my carpool had arrived. And of course, I had to get past a fight to get to it.

It seems that while I was gone, Felix and Gabriel stuck together. They'd both gotten their share of drama, so now they were spending time in each other's company and keeping the drama out, at least momentarily.

Annie probably made a wise choice and stayed inside to play chess.

Again, many of the beds in the dormitory were taken in the late afternoon.

Edward was up, and he spent some of his time mopping in the shower room.

By the late afternoon, the werewolves were again hungry already. Bernadette was seen looking for food in the trash can.

Finally, I returned home from work, and I had good news as well as bad news.
The good news was that I had gotten another promotion. I was now a Master Architect, and with that, only one promotion away from my dream!
The bad news, however, was that for my final promotion, I'd need not only skill points (which would be easy enough, thanks to our eggplant juice), but also three more friends. Yes, three, and that's while still living in a closed facility, not allowed to leave unless it's for work.

Seeing the situation at the asylum, I decided that my next move would be to make dinner, as the inmates were clearly getting hungry. I'd have a little time to hone a strategy for my career move.

Once again, my spaghetti was well-received.

After being finished with dinner, Daisy and Edward mostly had eyes for each other. That made me smile.

It wasn't long until 8 o'clock. It was night again, and our werewolves transformed into their night selves.

Despite just having had dinner, it seemed that at least Annie was hungry, as she proceeded to make some salad. I had no objections, at least I didn't have to make dinner a second time.

Besides, I'd just seen a ghost outside, and I still firmly preferred fat inmates over dead ones.

When it came to making friends for my final promotion, I'd started to formulate a plan. First, I'd need to meet some new sims. For that, I needed to get a little bit creative at this point.
Even though I'd already made dinner, I decided to order a pizza. That way, I'd definitely meet one new sim, and as long as I cleaned up the rest of the pizza before bed, there wouldn't be any more accidents.

While I was at it, I also ordered actual groceries, so we wouldn't run out just before being released and have any accidents.
And, I got some pizza. I ate what I could, and put the rest away so that the other inmates wouldn't take unnecessary risks with spoiled pizza later on.

Currently, they were clearly quite occupied by other things.

I heard cheering from the front yard, and went to see what it was. Apparently, the matchmaker had come to deliver a magic lamp. It wasn't for me, so I don't really know for whom it was. In any case, the asylum staff promptly told me to leave it alone, so I did. No sense risking anything at this point.

After that, I decided I'd done enough for today. I may be planning to take a vacation day tomorrow, but that doesn't mean I don't have lots to do, so a good night's sleep is important.

It seems that the others were mostly doing alright in my absence tonight.

Gabriel perhaps not so well, but that was to be expected. Not that my presence helps him much, either.

Felix helped keep Bernadette distracted.

As did "a dog with glowing eyes", as Bernadette herself said. I have a feeling that she may have been playing with a wolf, and a pack leader at that.

Unfortunately, with two irate exes around, distractions didn't protect Gabriel forever, once again.

Finally, the night came to an end. The 30th night was over, and we were all still there. A final push was ahead of me.
