Graduation-palooza indeed, yay! And soon it'll be wedding-palooza and then baby-palooza. :)
They're mostly new for me too. I turned them off back in the day when I used the in-game camera for pictures and couldn't get any during cinematics. Now that I had to re-install, I found out that the default for those on my computer is on. I finally remembered to turn them off again, mostly for consistency reasons.
Oh, thanks for the warning! I think I would have been pretty confused if I'd just gotten elf-ears out of nowhere. The only sim in my hood that has those in Alphabetia is Sal, so elf-ears in the Custer branch of the family would be a big surprise!
