Autumn in Alphabetia, part 2
Jul. 11th, 2011 07:47 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
And, after a little bit of copy-pasting, here's part two:
The Thayer household
Author + Count Curtis -> Arthur + Meadow -> Bonnie + Thomas -> Clyde + Margaret

Next up are the Thayers. Here are the young couple, Clyde and Margaret, who recently moved into Clyde's childhood home. And there's nothing going on on that couch.

Absolutely nothing, as Nerissa knows.

There is, however, something going on in the kitchen. Yes, Bonnie and Thomas, Clyde's parents, are going to grow up, IF dear Thomas here would be so kind as to make it that far.

Well, he does, and the only casualty is the hamburgers.
Nerissa, ahem.

Margaret is slightly confused, must be the topic I guess.

But, onwards! It's birthday time!

Annnd, after a quick visit to the wardrobe and mirror later, here's Thomas.

And here's Bonnie.

Margaret likes the fishies.

Well, after that, the course of action was clear. Let the palooza go on!

Aww. I'm happy that Clyde did manage to find a girlfriend who was acceptable at last. I mean, one that wasn't my simself.

Bonnie manages to squeeze in some time gardening in between the big events.
But then, it's again wedding spam time. I hope you're not tired of wedding spam yet. Because during this rotation, there'll be plenty more where this came from.

The guests are sort of mixed in clothing, because I had to hand-pick some of them after making the party calls, the guest lists just wouldn't allow enough.

While the guests enjoyed the stereo, the family had a quick salad snack before the ceremonies, so that no starvings would occur.

They have a pretty good attendance (partly thanks to me forcing the parents to sit on the first row.) You notice anything that's maybe a little off, by the way?
Hint: try to locate Chip in this picture.

Bonnie, you're a family sim whose son is getting married! You're not supposed to be bored!

And I've no idea what Cissy's problem was.

Nor do I know why that dog was there. Other than to think "Bonnie is a popularity sim". (She is, in secondary aspiration.)

Carla: "Chip is a romance sim." (secondary, again)
Chip: "I'm watching, I'm watching! I'm being nice! And I'm going to wash this plate for you, and I'm watching!"

Autonomous. Aww.

Clyde, unlike Bobby, isn't too nice to shove the cake.

The guests decided that the wedding chairs would be a nice place to have some cake. And they were.

Well, just because I happened to be in the mood, Clyde and Margaret got a honeymoon as well. They went to Three Lakes,, where there was a lot of relaxing.

And random vacation townies being pickpocketed.

And woohoo.

Clyde and Clarissa had the opposite problem from Claire and Trevor. Namely, Margaret got pregnant off the bat, the first day of the vacation, which meant I'd have to put up with the plummeting needs and nausea for three and a half days of the vacation. Well, you can't have it all, can you?

Well then, the next thing... This is Bruce, Bruce Bigfoot.

Margaret wanted to meet a bigfoot, and Clyde feared it, so I sent her to the secret lot alone. (Convieniently enough, she got the map on their first tour. Margaret had very good luck with the tours in general.)

Fishing was a nice way to make friends, but also pretty draining for poor pregnant Margaret.

Which meant when she came back, I had to send her to bed, while Clyde was all green yet. So the poor thing got to go axe throwing on his own, in the rain. And it's supposed to be their honeymoon.
He got a bullseye, though.

Margaret went back every day, to make friends with Bruce. Or to have balls hurled at her.

The rest of the vacation went so, that Clyde tried all the fun things...

... and Margaret ate.

Okay, Margaret got to do fun things, too, although briefly, before she needed to eat again.

There was socializing...

Random townie romance... (That guy looks like that because he got hit by a lightning like, five vacations ago, and won't change into his regular clothes.)

And tree rings. My other sims have just glanced at the tree and gained the memento, but Margaret actually looked at it for a long time, and got like three different popups about the tree, like this one.

She got a bullseye, too.

And, finally, I gave in to her want, and went to see Bruce one more time. To move him in. Clyde was still afraid, so I let him play around the cabin while Margaret socialized.

Bruce quite liked being invited to move in.

"It's a fun looking place, sweetie, I wonder who lives here? Honey, are you sure there are absolutely no bigfoots around here?"

And so, the vacation ended, and Bruce joined the household. He turned out to be a Popularity sim, and he wants to be The Law. Here he is in his work outfit.
I've no idea what I'm going to do with Bruce and if he's going to show up in chapters, but I'd never met, let alone moved in a bigfoot, so I just had to. And Margaret wanted to.

Bonnie's still the top cop, and she brought Laura Custer for visit.

Bruce, in turn, brought a plant. Apparently if a bigfoot works, his coworkers give him stuff that he brings home.

Margaret finally got into her second trimester.

And with that, I realized I needed to do something. Once again I came across clothing that didn't have a preg morph. This time, Margaret's shirt had one alright, but for the life of me, I couldn't find for her pants that had one.
I like the idea of wearing anything while pregnant, it's a really nice idea, but in practice, a lot of my cc doesn't have a preg morph, and I have to jump through hoops to manage with pregnancies. So I finally decided to pull the wear anything hack, and use a pregnancy default instead. Now I realize that I should default replace the formalwear as well. Note to self: get the shot gun wedding dresses by
leaths as defaults and pull the non-defaults. Note to self, part 2: don't pull the non-defaults now, or we'll get to see a lot of kimonos and santa-dresses in the next picspams.

Anyway, much better, don't you think, Margaret?

Lot's of Bruce spam here, sorry about that.

Ouch, Clyde! Sorry about the bad chance card. I'll try to get you the job back asap.

MOAR Bruce spam, because Bruce is awesome. And he likes music.

I realized that Clyde had the lifetime benefit that allowed him to beg for his job back. It was fun to watch, although unfortunately he didn't get it.
And then I realized it was still the same day when he got the job in the first place - so he just went to the computer and got it again. Take that, meanie boss!

Note: Popularity sims like to make friends.

And, just before the rotation ended, Margaret hit her third trimester. A full rotation before we get to see the baby. Aww, too bad!
The Bruenig Household
Author + Count Curtis -> Arthur + Pollination -> Bailey -> Cissy + Erik + Cissy <- Marsha <- Salahuddin

Sooo, in the final household of today's picspam, we've got the Bruenigs. I'm sure you remember Beth's best friend Marsha here, who's appreciating the new awesome fishtank. Like many other houses this rotation, the Bruenig house also got worked on big time, to accomodate more sims.
If the above cryptic arrow thingy doesn't open up to you, I'll try to explain: the young couple here are Cissy and Erik. Cissy is the daughter of Marsha and Bailey, of whom Bailey is Arthur's son via abduction, and Marsha is the adopted daughter of Sal. So Cissy is related to the founding generation in two ways, although Bailey + Marsha isn't really interbreeding. And technically, Marsha is generation A, while bailey is generation B. Confusing? Yes, very.

Anyway, Bailey works on his pottery skills, although not always with success.

And here are the young couple, on a date.

While the parents hang out in the hot tub and find that they'll be growing old soon.

The date did, in fact, serve is purpose very well. Yay!

Erik wants to be a top cop, and tonight he comes home with a promotion and a rose bouquet.

Cissy has a career LTW as well, she's in education.

The ways of getting to know your new relatives, they're... interesting.

Well then. Birthday party spam!

Cissy and Erik are clearly having fun.

As is everyone else, although in a different way. Beth especially is in her element, socializing with everything that moves.

Romance was in the air.

Finally, time for Baily to grow old.

And Marsha. It feels odd to have these guys old, I've had them in my game for so long...

"Someone is clearly having fun here, that must be stopped immediately!"
Sigh. Marsha didn't make it to the stereo on time, due to the crowd. But it was a good party anyway.

Bailey post-makeover.

And Marsha.

Then: last wedding of the picspam!

I cheated a little bit and had Cissy clear the sky for the wedding. We don't want any Elias Terrano accidents here today. Also, mesh fail!

Erik went ahead and jumped in a puddle in his best suit.

The near-obligatory guest in a wedding dress was Claire. I have a terrible memory.

It's so fulfilling to throw a wedding when the sims in fact have the want to get married. +8000 yay!

No cake-shoving here.

After the wedding, Bailey gets back to his pottery, and gets a silver badge.

And the newlyweds get to making a baby, but alas, they have time for only one shot before the rotation ends, and they roll just a bit too high.

Marsha becomes General and fulfills her second LTW.

She also wanted to invite someone over, so I had her invite Beth, whom Erik wanted to be friends with. Turns out, she also wanted to be friends with Erik.

Umm... That may be a little inappropriate, Sandy, seeing that you're currently in Marsha and her husband's house and all.

In the end, it turned out quite the ladies' night, with Marsha and Beth socializing with the ladies brought from various workplaces. At about 3 AM, I had to get Marsha out of the tub and have her kick the guests out. Otherwise I'm sure she wouldn't have gotten any sleep before the rotation was over.
Phew. That was quite some picspam. Maybe next time I'll try to go with fewer pictures per family, or fewer families at a time. Anyway, now you're caught up with what's going on in my game.
In other news, I'm working on my download archive thingy, as well as a new, shinier family tree. Both projects will take time, but I'm working on them. Feels good to be rolling again!
