Autumn in Alphabetia, part 3

Alright, time for two more houses worth of picspam, the Custer house and the Jalowitz house. I've actually played four, but no way am I going to try to post them all at once like I tried last time. So, on with the picspam!
The Custer house
Author + Count Curtis -> Adson + Rebecca -> Barry + Laura -> Corinna + Weldon

Leroy would like to welcome you to the first house of the picspam, the Custers. He'd also like you to know that he very much likes the mail carrier and can't wait to be stroked by him again. There are three dogs in this household, and they all love the mail carrier, and the mail carrier loves them.

Here are the humans in the house. Left to right: Weldon, the new spouse invited to move in from college, Barry, his to-be father-in-law (son of Rebecca and Adson), Corinna, his oldest daughter, and Laura, Barry's wife and Corinna's mother. And yeah, the last one is Beth, she invited herself in.

Now then, on with the business. I got the youngsters to roll the much wanted wants last rotation already, so it was time for them to tie the knot. First, let's get the engagement out of the way.

Don't you just love it when they just toss away the ring box?

Squeeeee!

This is one of those rare houses where the elders are suddenly all "+5000" when their kids get engaged.

See? They're all happy now that their eldest daughter is finally finally engaged.

Weldon here gave me a little bit of a scare though. As you can see there, he's very definitely a family sim, and that's very definitely a red engagement memory. Wtf Weldon? I was worried that maybe this is some kind of a Red Engagement Memory of Doom, but as nothing else seemed off, I thought well, maybe, hopefully it's just a random glitch.

Well, as everything seemed okay, I proceeded to the wedding. The minor oddity I saw is here in this picture. I've no idea why Mehrissa showed up in the astronaut costume - I'm pretty sure she isn't even in the Military career... Well, suit yourself, Mehrissa.

Time to gather around for the wedding, then. Either Corinna likes sports, or she's signaling "you better say yes, or else".

Weldon did say yes, while duly noting that Carla is a popularity sim.

Fulfilled "get married" wants, yay! Note also how even though Weldon was a bit unsure about whether getting engaged was such a good idea, he was perfectly happy to get married. Hmm.

Barry and Laura: "Relative gets married, +8000!"

Corinna, apparently, is a cake shover. Luckily I don't think Weldon minded too much.

Then the family proceeded to eat cake each dressed the way they found appropriate. Yes, Barry, I'm looking at you.

Corinna's younger sisters, the twins Calista (in red) and Chloe (in blue) are as close as ever. Yes, I keep them color-coordinated, otherwise it'd be hard to tell them apart.

And again, wedding party success.

And then, life goes on. Corinna studies.

Weldon brings promotions. And friends.

Elders smustle, and look silly. Actually, it's been a while since I've seen anyone smustle. Many of my sims usually prefer to slap dance or hula these days.

As I said, there are three dogs in the house. This one is Lulu, Leroy's spouse. She just aged to elder, as you can see. The third one is Didi, their daughter, who's an adult. I'd sort of want to breed her with another dog, but really, three dogs in the house are more than enough.

Lots of sims seem to invite themselves in at the Custer household. Maybe they like it there. Barbara seemed to like the stereo, anyway.

Laura and Aurora decided to catch up a bit right on the front sidewalk.

They didn't bother others in the slightest, it seems. Not Corinna, who wanted to announce she's home...

... and not Cho, who went jogging by and stopped to do some excercises.

So yeah. Does aspiration run in the family or what?

After a couple of tries, Corinna got pregnant. Another generation D member on the way, yay!

Or in fact, it seems they're going to be 2. Perfectly natural twins this time (unlike Calista and Chloe, who were cheesecaked). And no aspiration perks were involved, either.

Among other guests, Mehrissa popped by and reminded us she's pregnant too, by kindly puking in our toilet.

Some friends were invited over, for catching up...

... and apparently, gossipping.

Over dinner, Weldon got me confused again. I've played the game for years and years, and never before have I seen a sim talk about an upcoming child with an "x" over it. And again, Weldon's supposed to be a family sim. Maybe he's upset because the maid is cutting his face with that plate? A little worrying, but I haven't seen signs of Doom otherwise, plus I keep pretty frequent backups, should the worst happen.

So, socializing happened, at least for those sims who didn't wander out and play with the dogs instead.

Working in the garden happened...

As did neat relatives making themselves useful. Thanks, Bobby!

And yes, Corinna would like to confirm that she's indeed pregnant. Rotation over, next house!
The Jalowitz house
Author + Count Curtis -> Adrian + Nicole -> Baudolino + Marylena -> Cyrus + Chris

So, Cyrus and Chris were up next. No weddings or babies around here at this point, sorry. And even if there were, it'd be plotty and I'd have to not share. But, Chris would like you to know that she's very fit.

And Cyrus is there too. He brings home a buddy, and a promotion.

I have him invite Cho over, because despite the canon plot, Chris is actually quite a beginner in her pop sim career, and doesn't really know her fiancé's family all that well. That needs to be fixed asap, she thinks.

Cyrus was happily making buddies as well. Who cares if it happened in the bathroom?

There was also cuteness.

This is Invent Your Own Caption Day, part 1.

Invent Your Own Caption Day, part 2.

Moar cuteness you demand? Ask and you shall receive!

Cyrus hasn't changed at least in one way: he still likes to clean.

Both of their careers in Athletic (yes, they have the same LTW) have gotten a nice head start.

I also have to say that there is nowadays more ACR than there was for these two at college. I'm guessing it had partly to do with Cyrus' vampirism, and partly with th living situation: Chris was only a visitor, and they had to compete over a limited number of double beds with three romancers and a pleasure sim. Anyway, they both have comparatively long ACR timers, and that of Chris is a tiny bit shorter, so it's often her initiative.

In game, Cyrus and Sal are actually buddies, and apparently Sal wanted to chat. He must be a bit lonely there, alone on the other side of Alphabetia.

I don't remember who Chris was talking to, but clearly she is excited about getting married.

Cyrus is apparently capable of taking initiative as well, as surprising as that may seem.

He seems to be stressed over the fact that his relative Got Left at the Altar. Yes, poor Cho.

At this point, I finally gave in and installed the Phone Hack and Autoyak. I decided that my sims are starting to have so many friends and relatives that eventually I'll go nuts if I have to keep the relationships up manually, searching the relationships panel for lower scores and then manually calling each sim, possibly multiple times because the dorks quit talking when their social is full. And really, in a house full of sims, getting social to lower in the first place is a pain, in my experience at least.
Anyway, the point of this picture was supposed to be that many sims, including Chris, have since then gone cell phone shopping, as I found out that at least for me, the Autoyak options only show up on cell phones. So far, many of my sims have managed with just the house phone. Oh well, buying a few cell phones is definitely a small price for substantially less painful friends chatting.

And again, some buddies/random strangers were over, and some socializing happened. I'll have you know that Cyrus, who's supposedly bi, rarely has chemistry with anyone (I checked his relationships panel, and besides Chris, he had like five 2 bolt matches, all of whom were highly inapropriate). And yet, he went on congratulating this guy for being hot, for like ten times. And they have negative chemistry.
Sometimes it's best not to try to understand a sim's psyche.

Towards the end of the rotation, Cyrus topped his career and got his LTW. He now wants to be a World Class Ballet Dancer, I think. Chris still has some ways to go, of course, as she was a dormie and hasn't had a childhood full of skill building.

Some final cuteness is offered to you by Bill and Ira, who popped by and were greeted. Although, I don't think Bill waited to be greeted anyway, just walked right in.

Andddd, here the rotation ends, with Cyrus and Ira playing chess and discussing the prospects of being best friends.
Alright, that's all for today's picspam. More will be posted when I feel up for it.
