My new shiny

katrisimsSo, operation massive installation is over, and I can announce that all seems to have gone fine. After running a small test play, I went to see how my legacy sims were doing. And they seemed to be doing just fine. I know I should have started sorting the pictures for the spare update, but I couldn't resist starting a new rotation. Especially as it's the main house that is first in rotation. Anyway, the following is picspam from this weekend.
Greetings from the Bookacy family from Twikkii Island! So, Adrian and Nicole finally got to take the kids to that long awaited holiday. I was planning to take all the grandkids, but turns out they did not know the other ones well enough. Well, maybe later, then. Not that I was complaining to have "only" five sims to control for a change.
Much fun was had.
Nicole is Nicole, even on vacation. I love her.
A lot of Cho's time was spent socializing - that is, meeting guys. And yeah, I know who the above guy is. I'm not a regular reader, but anyway. I know. My version of him doesn't seem too bad, really. Cho autonomously befriended him, and he came along with the others, too. He even made hot dogs, which Adrian happily ate.
But no worries, I'm not planning on anything special with him. Maybe a little aspiration fodder now that she's a teen, but that's it. And look, she met other guys:
And this one's an adult, I know. But he winked at me! (I don't remember his name, he just showed up at the vacation house, and I had Nicole greet him. He started dancing the hula, so the family had a good chance to learn that, too.) If Cho wants him, she'll have to wait.
"What kind of a paradise island is this? I't hailing!"
It really was, even though you can't see it from the picture. That kind of cracked me up. Notice shiny: we have weather! Mostly the weather was nice, and sunny weather activities were had.
At home, Marylena reacted to a different kind of shiny, and wanted a bird cage. I was the one who wanted to fill it. Meet Chunni:
Chunni is a very popular attraction at the house.
The first kid there is Bobby, Aurora and Andrew's son. He seems to like animals. He also played fetch with a stray on the porch. The second one is Cyrus, being a fortune sim. Also George is and Adrian are often found at Chunni's cage. They can talk to her hours on end. Oh, and for the record: I love the playing animation, where the sim bounces a little and the bird bounces a little... It makes me melt!
No doggies or kitties yet, we'll see about that if someone starts craving a pet. But for now, eight sims and a bird are quite enough for me! (In the main house there is now a little bit of lag when there are many visitors. No wonder really, with the size of the family and all the junk they have.) But, I was happy to see these kitties in my game:
Yes, they are the witch familiars, both showed up in Baudolino's new business. Speaking of which, here's a picture:
Baudolino's spa. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's a little small, and I think I'm going to have to get rid of at least the running thing at some point - customers like to get on it, but afterwards I guess they're tired/dirty, so they won't stay. The best things are I guess the hot tubs. There's another one on the yard. (And I did remember to cover it, yay.)
As one last thing: I'm trying to make George happy.
The first try did not quite work, though. He got a sim with whom he could practically only talk. And, not, for instance, say goodbye when it was time. In the end I had to resort to deleting the visitor to get them off the lot. Maybe the game accidentally gave me some special purpose sim or something. Well, better luck next time, George!
So, that's my random picspam for today. I really should do the kiddy picspam, the gen. B who's who (except that not all gen Bs are adults yet), the next chapter... But well, I have shinies. I was distracted.
Now I think I'll need to un-distract myself and go to bed. Good night, again!
