Weekly simming 15/2015

This week concludes my summer vacation for this year, and although last week was better progress-wise, I did get stuff done and I'm happy with it.
Most importantly, I finally updated the Bookacy legacy. After more than a year, too. I feel very good about getting that done, it gives hope for the future. Save for Dirk's first year in college, I'm caught up with my playing, so I'm going to get to play more before seriously getting to work with the next update.
In other writing news, I pre-arranged Dirk's college pictures so far for the next chapter, and also had a look at the next Villains chapter. I wrote six slides for that, putting me on 33 slides.
On the Lakewood side of things, I've got one day left to play in the fourth and final household of week one. And then of course finishing writing that. So, good progress there too.
Oh, and I also went and changed the appearance of my Tumblr. I didn't like that I couldn't see tags, plus too much grey color in my various blogs. I do like grey, but enough is enough. For the time being, I like the new look enough to keep it.
What's maybe not so nice is that apparently I didn't have that odd bug cornered. While playing that fourth household, it happened again with the new Cyjon mods quarantined. While I'm bummed that I wasn't able to produce a situation where it doesn't happen, I'm also sort of relieved: the quarantined new mods were about 130, so much more than I'd thought. I'm starting to be a bit baffled where to look. I'm quarantining Inge Jones mods next, but I seriously doubt it'd be them.
Seeing that the bug didn't appear during the other households, it seems that it's related to the ticket machine in particular and not sales in general. Even so, it only seems to occur very randomly, and apparently it's not even related to high prices like I thought first. It even crossed my mind that since I haven't played businesses that much before I started with Lakewood, it's possible that I've had the problem for longer and just haven't come across it before. Which makes it harder to find yet, if that's the case. I don't know. It seems non-critical, and rather just a nuisance, and I've even learned to regain control of my playable sim if they get "confused" so that I don't have to quit without saving. So I'll probably keep hunting yet, but if it seems really hard to find, I might decide to live with it.
I'm pretty annoyed with the problem, since while it's evading me, I'm reluctant to play Alphabetia or particularly Strangetown. With all this juggling around the hacks, there may be resets in my neighborhoods. I already realized that swapping my new DL folder in caused one, and I'd *just* re-made all the stored food in the apocalypse from since it last happened. Bah. Oh well. I'll sort it, one way or another.
So tomorrow morning it's back to work for me. But, there's still evenings and weekends, so we'll keep trotting along.
