The party of the year

katrisimsI've been playing some lately, and I'm actually halfway through spring rotation in the main hood. Things are good, several teens have left for college and are now waiting for me to arrange them into dorms in the end of the main hood rotation. On the sad side, I've lost Adrian, Arthur and Meadow (in addition to Nicole, who went in the winter already). I was maybe a little bit sad for that, but when I was playing the Bruenigs yesterday, I certainly got cheered up!
So yeah, the Bruenigs. Marsha is a Captain Hero nowadays, and enjoys permanent platinum very much. She also got a secondary of family recently, as she and Bailey just somehow seem the type.
She's also had the pop impossible want for 30 best friends locked for a long time, as it's a tough one for me. I'm just not that good at playing popularity or romance. I intend to fullfill it eventually. Anyway, yesterday when playing the Bruenigs, I took a look at Marsha's relationships panel, and realized that she had a lot of old friends who she hadn't contacted for a while and the friendships were fading. And, her want panel said she'd also love to have a party. So, well, what do I do?
Marsha convieniently had a day off from work, so I figure I could invite some friends over in the morning already, so she could socialize with them, and then invite a few more in the evening for a party. So that's what I did. The house got filled with Marsha's friends, they got to eat lunch together, soak in the hot tub, smustle and all that fun stuff.
Well, evening comes around and I throw the party for Marsha. So far so good. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.
Then at some point I noticed that Marsha and Bailey's bed was occupied. I was a little peeved - again one of my sims sneaking off to sleep when I turn my back. (It's a minor pet peeve of mine that since AL my sims try to go to bed so soon. Before they used to stay up until I made them go to bed at around midnight or so, even stay up until their energy was in the full red and they'd drop on the floor from exhaustion three times before they made it to their bed. Now since AL they keep trying to go to bed constantly from the point where their energy hits the yellow - basically from 6 pm on. So now I have to watch them like a hawk if I want them to stay up until 7.)
But nope, none of my sims it was. It was Tosha, Marsha's old friend and Chip's girlfriend.
Slightly later another teen guest got tired and took over one of the kids' beds. I was getting a little worried - where do I put my sims when the party is over? =D
Well, the party went on and was drawing close to the end and was otherwise going just fine. Aadam had been thinking about "x over Tosha" for a while and I had my suspicions. And yes, shortly before the final score (Good Time), this happened:

Well, the party ended and the guests left. The teenagers in the beds woke up, too, and I was relieved. My sims had a place to sleep! This is what happened:
"Thanks, Marsha, your parties are the best! See you again!"
"No problem girls! Hope you had sweet dreams!"
"Don't mind me, I'm just worrying over Aadam who's sleeping on the floor."
"The party was great though, thanks, C!"

Aadam slept on the floor all through the night, woke up at 5.30, shook his head and went home.
Lesson of the day: don't invite guests over in the morning and throw a party in the evening. Apparently the guests don't then understand to go home when they get tired, but sleep in your house instead.
It seems it was a tough party, and the Bruenigs don't even have a juice keg! =D
