Finally, after a long time of real life getting in the way, I bring you a Lakewood update! I sure have been sitting on it long enough. As always, comments are welcome wherever you might feel inclined to leave them. I hope you enjoy!
Ah, well, that would be a good reason for Regan to not be a valid spouse for William -- she has her own challenge! (And she's gay.)
Both girls grew up into good looking teens! I hope that Puck doesn't end up causing drama between them.
The business is very successful, it looks like! I'm really surprised that locking the gate didn't work, though. Do you have any idea why not?
Twins ALWAYS happen when you don't want them. It's like the game KNOWS.
As far as playing Uni, I send sims when they are 7 days from Adult and bring them back 4 days later. (I play that 1 game day = 1 year.) If a teen doesn't go to college, I age them up at 3 days from Adult, which works out to the same equivalent age. I don't find Teens as interesting as I think I'm supposed to, and 14 days of Teen is basically 14 years, which is too much. The way I play, it's more like the go to college at 20 and graduate at 24. *shrugs* works for me, anyway.
Yeah, William and Regan were not going to work out. :) But, luckily for them, they both found someone suitable.
The girls are pretty cute indeed. We'll see about Puck, I guess in any case we'll sort it out somehow.
Thanks! Yeah, it's definitely one of the more successful businesses in Lakewood, though I think the Curious Gadgets by the Curious OWBC is more lucrative. I don't know about the gate, not for sure in any case. I suspect it may have to do with sims already heading for the locked area when it gets locked, or possibly sims newly entering a lot. I guess I'll see if this happens again when I next play the family.
Yup, the game definitely knows! That's been proven time and time again.
Thanks for the thoughts on college! In Alphabetia I already have a fairly straight-forward system, but there I play seasonal rotations and give the adults liberal amounts of elixir. Which not everyone is allowed at all in Lakewood, plus weekly rotations here. Well, the different methods are all food for thought, I suppose I'll figure something out.

Another fun chapter! :)
