Weekly simming 27/2018

Again, there was pretty nice progress in the weekend especially. I just finished the Broke household rotation less than an hour ago. It was a pretty nice rotation altogether, the family is doing pretty good. I almost adopted the two dogs for them too, before I realized that the BaCC rules don't actually allow that yet: adoption is specifically allowed before 500 population, but nothing is said about pet adoption, so I assume it's not allowed. Well, if William Trollson manages to become Business Tycoon this rotation, then that will boost the population above 500 and the problem will be solved. If not, well, I'll have to figure something out. Worst case scenario is I guess I'll leave the oldest kid out of the heir poll, seeing that I don't have to include everyone, and the family needs to have the dogs before the heir specifically becomes an adult. Well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I'm behind in the writing, but that happens. Gives me something to do next week I suppose. Should be a pretty regular week, so hopefully there's more progress then.

See, now, I would assume that if it's not mentioned specifically, then it IS allowed. I guess we have different views on the world...

Can you move in the dogs through making friends with strays, maybe?

The wording in the rules is something like, all services are locked until population 500, except for adoption and the nanny. So, it's maybe open for interpretation whether pet adoption is included in adoption, but I think it's usually separately mentioned when it's involved in rules, so I'd think it's still locked...

Yeah, getting the dogs via befriending strays is allowed. It's just that I'm pretty bad at befriending strays, and with my empty templates, Lakewood doesn't really have strays, aside from the wolves. We did play with a wolf for a bit (it's kind of tempting to try one as a pet), but it got away and I'm not sure if we'll ever see it again. :P

Well, I'll figure something out. With luck, we may have population 500 next week in any case, which would solve the problem. Crossing my fingers for that. :)

Oh, if it's "all services are locked except," then yeah, I'd say pet adoption is locked too.

I use blank templates, but I did force-generate some strays. Not that I'm any good at befriending them either. :(

I'm considering force-generating some strays in case I don't get to population 500 by the Brokes's next week, it's an option at least. Whether the Brokes would actually manage to befriend any is another question, but we'll see about that. :)
