Day 11.

Yes, once again I woke up in the morning, and had to get to work right away. The plumbing here is pretty awful, the shower needed repairing before I could actually take a shower.

My fellow inmates were also up already (or still, depending on how you look at it), as was the stinky skunk that had wandered on the lot. I wonder if it was lured by Annie digging in the trashcan. In any case, that was a sign that I needed to get to making breakfast, pronto.

I did, and once again my fellow inmates were clearly hungry.

After breakfast, it was time to get to job-seeking. I didn't have high hopes as I opened the newspaper, with so many failures under my belt, but at least I wasn't feeling completely hopeless. No surprise there, no Architecture.

Meanwhile, Gabriel and Annie were socializing in the bathroom, and apparently becoming quite friendly. However, Gabriel isn't built to stay inside for too long.

By the time I went out to compost the newspaper, I found Gabriel outside with Felix. It seemed the two of them had largely resolved their differences and were discussing Annie's attractiveness again.

I headed back inside, took the computer from my inventory and sat down to look at the job ads there.

To my surprise, there was an Architecture position open! I stared at it in disbelief, then accepted it quickly, as if fearing it would disappear. On the 11^th day, I finally got the job! It'd start tomorrow morning.

I think the others heard me shriek, so they guessed the news even before I had the time to tell them. They were extra helpful today: Edward helped with cleaning, and Felix got the mail for me.

I said earlier that I thought Felix and Gabriel had resolved their differences. Well, maybe that was an overstatement, or maybe they just play hard.

I headed to the garden with renewed enthusiasm. As this job thing seems to be working out, maybe I'm really going to need these eggplants!

I saw Gabriel head inside and play some chess. Maybe he had enough of being punched.

My day just kept getting better. Not only did I finally find a job today, I also got a gold badge in gardening!

Again, we were almost out of food, so I ordered some more. I was all the more relieved that I'd finally found the job, with all the food that we all needed.

I noticed that Edward had taken it to himself to keep company for Gabriel at the chess board.

When I'd gotten the groceries, I sat down to study for a bit.

Before I had time to get up and start making lunch, Annie had beaten me to the fridge. I tried to keep studying, but noticed I was nervously glancing towards the kitchen.

Once again, I was happy to be proved wrong. Annie was perfectly able to make us a plateful of grilled cheese sandwiches.

I was still finishing my meal, when the others were already doing something else. As in Cecily and Gabriel's case, playing the punching game. Perhaps Gabriel hoped that Cecilly wouldn't hit hard.

Afterwards, Gabriel spent some time with Felix. I'd say that the two of them are back in each other's good books by now.

I was kind of worried when I noticed that Cecily was continuing her romance with Edward. Namely this time Daisy was right there witnessing it. But to my surprise, she didn't seem to mind.

In fact, she and Cecily seemed perfectly happy taking turns with Edward.

When the clock hit eight, Daisy and Edward were pretty excited for Cecily's transformation.

After that, the romances continued the same way. I needed a cup of coffee to stay awake a little longer and study.

Annie was again kind enough to cook for us. I of course worried, but she managed to cook a nice big portion of spaghetti without setting the kitchen on fire.

That was espcially good as there were again three ghosts floating around in the garden.

Shortly after Annie's spaghetti I had to head to bed, as tomorrow would be my first day at work. I'd better be well-rested.

The night was apparently rather peaceful, and the ghosts were happy to float around in the garden. Perhaps the peacefulness was partly due to the fact that not only Felix but also Gabriel spent most of the night passed out on the sidewalk again, so there was no further romantic drama for them.
