Day 14.
I had a day off today, so I woke up relatively late.

As I looked around, everything looked just about normal, and I was relieved to see no urgent situations anywhere.

Over breakfast, Cecily started filling me in on the dramatic events of the night. It seemed that Bernadette and Gabriel had some big disagreements to say the least.

Interestingly, Gabriel and Felix seemed to have no problem with each other. They did argue soon after Bernadette had gone for Felix instead of Gabriel, but no one had seen them being anything but friendly for a while.

I couldn't do much about the romantic drama in the house, but the leaking shower was fortunately something that I could fix, so I got to that.

Regardless, the bathroom facilities continued to be lacking. Budget cuts were another thing outside of my control.

Fortunately, the garden I have some control over too, so I headed out to take care of it.

Meanwhile, the others seemed to have a bit of a more relaxed forenoon.

After I was done with gardening, I continued by doing some studying. That would surely come in handy later.

At lunch time, I didn't feel like making anything with the stove, so I made some chef salad instead. No risk of fire was an additional bonus, and it was some variation in the diet too.

As I cleared up the plates, the others were already congreating in the bathroom. I had to shoo them out of the way to get to the sink. (We do have a cheap dishwasher, but it's been broken for a good while, and I don't trust my mechanical skills enough to try to fix it.)

The yard was another popular location this afternoon.

Annie tried to keep Bernadette occupied by making up gossip about the groceries delivery lady.

Unfortunately, that didn't keep Gabriel away from his former love for very long, and soon the insults could be heard through the walls.

I tried to help with the distracting work. I was working on my logic anyway, so I invited Gabriel to join me at the chess board. I tried to take his mind of Bernadette by talking about the friends that he'd made during our stay in the facility.

That worked for at least a bit. I heard the howls and noted it was eight o'clock again.

At least one ghost, the old man, was out and about tonight too.

With both werewolves and ghosts appearing, it was time for me to leave the chess board and make some dinner. Spaghetti again, but I didn't get any complaints.

After dinner, it didn't take long for Bernadette and Gabriel to find each other again and start the insult fest. I felt kind of sorry for Felix, who tried to get in between but in vain.

I think Edward, Daisy and Cecily found another way to distract themselves from the arguments.

And sure enough, as I was coming inside from the garden, there was another fight going on.

Bernadette won, once again.

I think the former lovebirds now see each other firmly in the enemy territory. I hoped it wouldn't come to this, but it has, none of our combined efforts to distract the two have helped.

Resigned, I headed to bed. There was nothing I could do to keep Bernadette and Gabriel out of each other's hair at least for now, and it wouldn't do to tire myself needlessly, so the best thing to do was to try to have a good night's sleep.

I heard later that there was yet another fight during the night. Not really very surprising.

Annie and Felix did their best to distract the fighters, and they had some success.

I have no idea why Annie is congratulating Gabriel on winning a fight here. Unless I've missed a fight somewhere, he's lost every single one.

At lease Daisy, Cecily and Edward were enjoying themselves the best they could.

In the end, the clock struck six am again, and everything was back to normal. Or as normal as it could be in a haunted asylum.

That's all for day 14. Thanks for reading, and until next time, happy simming!
