I am alive
Jan. 13th, 2009 11:16 amSo yes, I did not die. Which I guess is an achievement of sorts in itself.
The work deadline was yesterday - and we finished on time. That took quite some overtime, and it had its toll on sleep and mental health. But now it's over with, and my chances of graduating are getting quite high. Not long anymore, I suppose. Which makes me feel pretty good. (In case you're wondering, I work as an undergraduate research assistant, so that's why I talk about work/school as if they were the same thing. In this case, they kind of are sometimes.)
So today I'm going to take it easy and relax, maybe catch up on some comments if I feel like it, and I may pop open my game some time later today, for the first time in weeks. Yay.
Now I've got both FT and Seasons sitting in my drawer just waiting to be installed. But as I have to at least check through all houses anyway that things are A-OK for installation, I'm thinking I might finish the rotation first, and if that can be done easily, maybe even synch the families so that everyone would be at the same day of the week. I figure that would make the seasonal rotations I'm planning to do somewhat clearer. Of course, I'm somewhat tempted to install ASAP, but well, it's not like my disks are growing feet and running away or something. Just rotating Alphabetia and getting it ready for installation at the same time should be fun, too.
So yeah. That's what's up with me right now. If you see sentences like "We thus conclude that gaining the 115th business star would be a very beneficial choice indeed, and an important further step towards achieving the state of permanent platinum for Baudolino Bookacy" in my next chapter, then you know I have been writing it too soon after the deadline.
I may just have to use that now. Or maybe not.
Anyway, just checking in, announcing that I'm still alive and kicking. For the moment, nothing else to say, but happy simming!
