Day 17.
Days are really similar here for the most part, it's interesting how even the odd things have become a routine. Today, I again woke up when the werewolves howled. That's become my alarm clock so much that I don't really even notice it anymore.

I headed downstairs and to the bathroom. There I found out that it wasn't a great day for at least Cecily, who had come in to sob in peace. She's a Fortune sim, so it must be quite tough on her nerves to be here.

I tried to console her the best I could. After that, the bathroom needed a good clean before I could bring myself to use it.

We had a bit of a slower morning, as I had a day off from work. We had breakfast and caught up with the ghostly happenings of the night.

Daisy kindly helped me clean up the dishes afterwards.

I spent some of the morning in front of the tv, and asked Bernadette to join me. Of course, that was partially to distract her from Gabriel and their constant fights.

After some time, I left her to it, as I had a plan for the day off. If I was to get that next promotion, I'd need to get chatting. So I called Brandi, who visited us in the early days, to catch up and hopefully make friends in the process.

Meanwhile, my fellow inmates showed their helpful side once again. Daisy and Felix took their turn to clean.

Annie was kind enough to distract Gabriel with the chess board, so he stayed away from fighting with Bernadette. It would have been hard to speak on the phone over that.

Daisy and Edward kept being tight, and Felix took his turn to distract Gabriel.

All the while I was on the phone, calling a couple others as well. This was a rare opportunity to make friends, so I decided I should take advantage of it.

In the end, I needed to hang up. The place was rickety, and once again I was needed for repairs.

After that I was in need of some rest for my back and some entertainment. It wasn't purely for rest and relaxation though: I watched a highly educational cooking show to remind me what not to do when in the kitchen.

By the sound of it, Gabriel and Cecily had hogged the bathroom for a romantic moment or two. As much as I was glad to see Gabriel occupied by something that wasn't fighting with Bernadette, I was also quite worried about this relationship. Given Gabriel's tendency for jealousy, I didn't think things were going to be very good for long.

When I heard that Bernadette had been salvaging food from the trash can, I decided that it was time for me to get cooking again, pronto.

Mealtimes are one of the most peaceful times in the household really.

We barely had time to finish eating, when the werewolf transformations hit.

After that, I did get that tiny bit of peace for myself to get on the phone one more time today.

That didn't last long, however. Bernadette and Gabriel were at it again.

Bernadette won, as she always seems to do. At this point, I think Gabriel just can't learn that he should stay away.

Two ghosts out tonight. We've seen the pink lady before, but I think the light blue man is new.

That reminded me to do some more cooking in advance. An extra meal in storage was never a bad thing.

After that, I decided I was spent for the night and headed to bed.

It appeared that the others kept on doing what they did. Fighting, and watching fights.

It also seems that I was right in my predictions. From what I heard, Gabriel saw Edward kissing Cecily in the living room, and didn't take it well.

He confronted Cecily too, but she wasn't convinced this was her fault, either. Gabriel couldn't claim he didn't know she was previously in a relationship with Edward. However, it did make her like Gabriel a lot less.

As a result, both of them were upset.

And of course, Gabriel and Bernadette had to get into another fight too.

While the other inmates were otherwise occupied, our ghostly visitor apparently raided the fridge. As if it didn't empty quickly enough otherwise.

Regardless, eventually the long night was over. Despite all the drama, we'd survived another day and night, and I was again awakened by familiar howls.

That's it for Day 17.
Yes, I'm still here despite things being super slow lately. I've been distracted, as usual, and my moods haven't been the greatest. Apparently they're harder to keep a handle on in exceptional circumstances, go figure, but fortunately I have help for that. Anyway, I'm still here, healthy so far and still at least occasionally playing sims. It feels oddly fitting to be almost housebound, playing a game where... I'm almost housebound.
Anyway, I hope you're healthy and safe too, and I hope you enjoyed the update. Until next time, stay safe and happy simming!
