Day 19.
Rise and shine, time for another day in the asylum.

I found that many of the inmates were already, or still, up. Gabriel was passed out in the yard, which I'm sure was a relief for all.

That was still the case when the paperboy showed up for the day. It seemed that Bernadette truly didn't mind the recent development of romantic interest between Cecily and Felix, but the two ladies continued to come along well.

The peace didn't last forever though. When Gabriel eventually woke up, he was quick to pick a fight with Cecily.

On top of that, we were also out of groceries.

Fortunately, there were some leftovers in the fridge for the inmates.

And for me, it was again eggplant juice breakfast.

After that, it was off to work again.

Apparently I'd barely arrived at the office when the fighting broke out again at the facility.

Everyone but Gabriel continued to get along with each other still.

But Gabriel definitely took care of filling the fighting quota.

Felix and Cecily were seen openly showing affection for each other in the dining area, and apparently Edward had no problem with it. The only one who has had a problem with it really, has been Gabriel.

Things had a bit of an unfortunate turn today at work. I had to choose between pursuing a contract with the public sector, or a private company. I went for the public sector project, and didn't manage to get a contract despite working on it all day. And by then, the private company contract was off the table too, so I was demoted. Sigh. This work thing is very two steps forward, one step back.

It was really quite depressing, but what could I do, but try to keep going? The house needed some work again, so I tried to distract myself with that.

In any case, I have it better than Gabriel. This time I saw him myself, cuddling a flour sack in the front yard. I have to try harder. We need to get out of here, especially Gabriel.

I spent the afternoon relaxing and skilling. I had to get my mind off the lousy workday, and to prepare for hopefully a better one tomorrow.

The piano was out of tune again. I'm no expert, but I think I managed to make it playable again.

Bernadette said she was approached by some guy, who wanted her to join his hobby club. Some sims just don't get our situation I suppose.

Some of our inmates were upstairs taking a nap when the transformations hit again. Eight o'clock never fails to arrive.

Neither do the ghosts. I saw two again tonight.

Well, all the more reason to keep everyone well fed. I scraped together dinner from whatever leftovers we had.

Then I made sure to order more groceries, to keep us fed also on the days to come.

Not surprisingly, when I came back with the groceries, Gabriel and Bernadette were at it again.

Damn it. I just wanted some studying peace, was that too much to ask?

Well, since it was like that, I figured I could just as well go to bed, I was pretty tired anyway.

Apparently the night was pretty much the usual. Daisy attempted to ignore the slapfest and watch some tv.

Edward distracted himself by doing some cleaning.

And Annie's method of choice was playing the piano.

Some of the inmates even tried distracting Gabriel, or his former loves.

But still, he managed to get his bottom handed to him at least twice during the night.

I suppose the plus side was that he was exhausted from fighting and lack of sunlight, so the ghosts couldn't scare him.

Apparently, with Gabriel out of the way, the others spent the rest of the night enjoying their blooming romantic lives.

But that didn't last forever. As the clock struck six, it was time for transformations again. Another night at the asylum was over.

And that's it for Day 19, thanks for reading! We will not let an unlucky chance card get us down. Until next time, happy simming!
