Day 27.
Rise and shine, it's another day in the asylum. And a day off at that. I would be annoyed about that, if it weren't actually pretty convenient: I'm going to need another friend for my next promotion, and seeing that I've been able to meet a rather limited amount of sims while locked up, I need to meet someone new to make that goal.

As I headed downstairs, I saw that Bernadette and Annie were outside chatting, and the sun was waking up Felix and Gabriel, giving them a bit of energy.

Before I could actually get to today's tasks, breakfast was in order. Thankfully, everyone's still happy with cereal. It's quick and easy to make, and carries no risk of fires, so I tend to stick to that for breakfast – even though I do have actual cooking skills now.

Felix and Gabriel were apparently engrossed in conversation, which gave the rest of us a bit of peace.

After I was done with breakfast, I headed to the yard to weed the plants. That way, I could easily see if we got a walkby and would get to greet them.

Daisy and Edward kindly helped me with the dishes.

As the mail carrier showed up to take our paid bills, I promptly greeted him. Not many sims around when you're in a closed facility, but fortunately the service personell is kind.

Fortunately, not long after the mail carrier had continued his round, I spotted an actual walkby and went to greet him. His name was Komei Tellerman.

We came along with Komei just fine.

When the inevitable fight broke out on the yard, I asked Komei to join me at the chess board.

Daisy was inside, too, avoiding the fights by watching some tv.

In the afternoon, many of the inmates took a nap, as they often do.

Felix and Gabriel of course didn't sleep, and Bernadette was also awake. Felix kindly kept her distracted from Gabriel.

As it became dark, I got to cooking dinner. Our inmates were always hungry, and now we had Komei as a guest too.

Said inmates were keeping Komei company outside, but I wasn't convinced it was going terribly well. I better hurry with the dinner.

Before I was quite done with cooking, the clock struck eight and the werewolf transformations were here.

But, we didn't let that stop us. Dinner was ready, and it was well-received by both the inmates and Komei.

Tonight seems to be a night of the ghosts. I've spotted three of them floating around in the garden.

Annie decided to entertain Komei by playing catch in the garden, and apparently Bernadette and Cecily had their own game going on. I was slightly worried about them, with three ghosts around.

However, I was too busy to worry that much, as I had more pressing things in mind. Because we were one more than usual, Bernadette hadn't gotten dinner. Just in case, I cooked again and was able to get her to eat "second dinner". I left the rest out for a bit in case anyone else got hungry.

After that, I decided it was best to say goodbye to Komei. I told him the ghosts weren't to be played with, and he understood.

Unfortunately, I was ever so slightly late with that: before Komei had the chance to leave, one of tonight's ghosts decided to scare him.

The result was some embarassment for Komei, but fortunately he was none the worse for wear and could go home safely.

After he left, I had yet some work to do. My second set of eggplants were ready to harvest.

I couldn't quite get them all, as it was past midnight at that point, and I was getting exhausted.

Tomorrow would be a working day, so I decided it best to leave the rest of the eggplants be for now and get some sleep instead.

From what I hear, the rest of the night was actually quite uneventful.

Well, of course there was the usual drama, but for us, that's generally included in "quite uneventful".

With three ghosts out, I would have expected more scarings, but apparently Komei was the only sim to get scared tonight. Our fridge did lose some of its contents to a hungry ghost raiding it, but otherwise they were happy to just float around.

I was quite grateful to hear that. Another night had gone by, and we were all still here, all still trying. That's what matters.

And that's it for Day 27! I hope you enjoyed, and welcome back to us when we take on Day 28. Until then, happy simming!
