Winter picspam, part 3

Okay, so. Thought I'd again try to catch up on the picspam a bit, since I have yet some backlog. So, three more houses, and kinda exciting houses too. For me at least. :)
The Cameron/GilsCarbo/London household
Author + Count Curtis -> Adrian + Nicole -> Beth + Sean -> Carl + Veronica + Audrey -> Devon, Daniela & David
Well, the first house was pretty exciting, since it was Carl and his pregnant lady friends. So, as you might remember, the elders of the house are gen. B spare Beth and her husband, and the adults are Carl, Veronica and Aurdrey. Both ladies were pregnant in the beginning of the winter rotation.

So, lots of everyday stuff, sociaization and being pregnant was going on.

Until the being pregnant somewhat abruptly ended for Veronica.

Babies were exciting for everyone. Also Audrey was quite happy to meet someone new.

Meet Daniela GilsCarbo, the firstborn of Carl and Veronica. Carl must have gotten Nicole's red hair as a recessive, since Daniela was able to have blonde hair. Yay fo recessives!

Now why is the newborn Daniela on the floor?

You guessed it: twins! To be honest, I knew it, since I checked with the pregnancy scanner.

Meet Devon GilsCarbo, Veronica and Carl's secondborn. Again yay for recessive hair!

Carl was at work when the twins were born, and happily got promoted that day. One step closer to that LTW.

There was some checking up on the pregnant lady friend, and some socializing with the newborn babies.

There were somewhat off sleep schedules and discussions of grandbabies.

And there was quality time spent with the no longer pregnant lady friend, too.

Well, soon there would be two of those.

Sean was so excited for yet another baby that he misplaced his arm somehow.

Meeting someone new is nice.

Meet David London, son of Carl and Audrey. Someone's quite happy about the genetic variety in this family. :)

I don't think I've ever had three babies in a house at once. This is going to be some serious simming.

Good thing Beth retired just then. She'd used up her vacation days, which is generally when I let an elder sim retire if they are not working on yet another LTW or something.

Just saying goodbye to a hot coworker here.

And this is where the real challenge begins. The twins are about to become toddlers, and David is one day behind them.

Devon.

Daniela.

A lot of my toddlers sneak off to dance to the stereo right after growing up this time around. Thought it was cute.

But then it's time to catch them, and makeover time! You might be able to tell that this is Devon. He's a 6/8/10/8/3 Gemini.

And Daniela - 6/9/10/6/4, also Gemini. Such cuties.

Sorry, Beth. Your retirement isn't going to be very peaceful. But, think positive: you did get three grandkids out of your only kid, who's a romancer. Three grandkids to meet, make friends, best friends and best friends forever with. That's gotta count for something.

Yeah, sorry about that, Remington. We're kinda busy here.

Sean took his time but finally completed his second LTW as Hall of Famer. He now wants to be an Ecological Guru, which can no longer happen.

Time for David to join the toddler chaos!

And here he is post-makeover. I like that he's genetically interesting, got some of Audrey's features, like obviously the mouth, but the eye region is more Carl I think. Not traditionally pretty but cute nonetheless. He's a 5/5/10/7/4 Sagittarius.

Yum yum. Teddy taste good.

There's a lot of this going on.

And I mean a lot.

So far, no problems with the three-way relationship. Audrey and Veronica don't seem to be jealous of each other, though an autonomous base-game interaction might cause trouble. Right now my biggest worry is the kids getting upset, although that, either, hasn't happened yet. *knocks on wood* Maybe I should look whether there's a hack that stops the kid upsetness or something, for these situations one might be handy.

For the moment, I have emergency strawberries, which just got ready for picking.

Carl, watch the h... Nevermind.

Anddd... We seem to have survived the three toddlers -phase! That was a bit of a challenge, but fun.

Daniela the flying toddler.

And here she is post-makeover. Still cute.

The old second nursery/playroom got a bit of a makeover too, the stuff got upgraded so that it suits kids.

And here's devon after he got his makeover. Not bad.

Little David is still there every time someone feels like snuggling.

And despite her expression, Audrey is very happy at the moment. She's popularity secondary and I believe she just made her 10th best friend.

Time to start working on a new crop of vegetables. This time eggplants, those might be handy too.

Veronica, for her part, is knowledge secondary, and wanted private school for her kids, so we invited the headmaster.

Despite minor mishaps...

... all was going just fine. That was some very nice points for being best friends forever, by the way.

You might have noticed the tense. "Was" going fine. Well, turns out it wasn't the best idea to invite the headmaster on David's birthday. You might just about be able to see that after dinner, we were lacking one (one!) point from acceptance, although I had expected that we'd be accepted just like that. It was just that... we were a little busy after dinner.
I tried having someone schmooze with the headmaster, but he wasn't having any of it, and our score just went down no matter who I tried with. I tried getting a new coffeemaker and making coffee for those extra points, but that plan was ruined by my sims coming to "what's this" the coffeemaker and thus blocking the headmaster's way.
My final straw was to quickly plot down a hot tub and have Beth go sit in it. And it would have worked. The headmaster was climbing the hot tub stairs... when the timer ticked to zero.

Don't you grr at me. I'm not exactly happy with you right now.
This was my first private school rejection for a while. Oh well. At least that was interesting, and luckily no one was fearing the rejection. Don't be sad, Veronica, we'll try again next rotation!

And well, at least David grew up well. He's still interesting-looking, and sort of cute.
The Patch Family
Author + Count Curtis -> Abraham + Kendra -> Bianca + Ramin -> Carla + Kevin -> Darren, Dale
Kevin + Pollination -> Dana
Okay, so next up in the rotation are the Patches, who've been sort of the most surprisingly interesting household in the rotation so far. In the beginning, the household includes the elders Bianca and Ramin, their daughter Carla and her husband Kevin, and one child, Darren. Carla is also pregnant with the couple's second child.

So, there's a lot of cuddling Darren and working toward various LTWs and such.

And there's Darren's birthday.

And there he is. Something interesting going on there genetically, the eyes are a little funny and I'm not sure who he takes after there. Darren's a 5/8/9/3/1 Gemini.

Calista (who tries to make us think she's Chloe) comes home from work with Bianca a lot. They're both in Music.

See? I said she comes home a lot with Bianca.

But yeah, this is why the family got surprisingly interesting.
Kevin is my third alien abductee in the hood, and again, not really intended. If you don't count sending men to learn logic with the big telescope, anyway. The first was Adrian, who got abducted as a teen, and whom I then orchestrated to spend lots of time on the dance sphere as an adult (that was fully intentional), and the second was Arthur, who, just like Kevin, was sent out of the way to gain some logic.

Apparently, other sims think that Keving getting kicked out of a spaceship is neat.

Not sure if Kevin agrees.
*lullaby sounds* I do, though.

He got kicked out right on time, too.

Meet Dale, secondborn of Carla and Kevin. I suspect I might have forgotten to go to CAS to roll the dice, so poor Dale might be a clone. Sorry about that, kiddo.

Beth is one of those sims who's almost literally everywhere. This time she and Sean invited themselves over, at the same time.

*is excited*

Again a lamp. I'm pretty sure that's either Darren's or Dale's.

I know you like birthdays, Ramin. Now would you please move over, so your grandson could actually have his birthday?

So here's Darren all kiddified.

And here's Dale toddlerified. Hard to say if they're clones or not. Anyway, Dale's 5/8/9/3/1, and a Gemini.

My heart melts a little every time a townie goes to interact with a toddler.

Alright, lots of stuff happened, now comes the best part. Meeting someone new!

Meet Dana, alien child of Kevin Patch. Pretty much all we know about her at this point is she's got daddy's noselessness.

The rest about Dana we'll have to find out later, but at least she was well received by everyone.
The Thayer/Fairchild household
Author + Count Curtis -> Arthur + Meadow -> (The other) Bill + Sandy -> Cliff
Okay, last house today. This is the Thayer/Fairchild family, where the only inhabitants currently are Bill and his ladyfriend Sandy. Their son Cliff is still in college, and hence Bill and Sandy only get one day of game time for token and relationship maintenance at this time.

Still, work has to be done, bills have to be paid.

Kitties have to be hugged. I first though Remington was the only maid who did this (he must be close to friends with at least Alegra, the cat of the Bruenigs), but apparently Lucy does too. Aww.

Tokens and relationships, as I said.

Apparently also burglaries.

Hey, come on now Law! It's not fair she has time to take two objects, they never have time for two objects!

Demi did eventually arrive and beat the burglar. Note how Bill thinks he's being smart: if he can't see the burglar, surely the burglar can't see him?

We interrupt this regularly scheduled burglary to note that Sandy is a romance sim.

So such. We got payed way too little by the insurance company, since the stuff was old, but luckily Bill and Sandy are quite wealthy. And on the upside, Sandy got to meet the burglar, which she liked. And thus we end the rotation of this house on a positive note.
