Autumn in Alphabetia

katrisimsAs I don't really have any post-update picspam or behind the scenes stuff - the update was really just happenings in the extended family, no staging involved - I decided it was time for general picspam. This is pretty much stuff that has been happening in the extended family since the spare update.
Let's start off with the Thayer's. Just because I came across them first in Scrapbook.
There were wants for a womrat, so I indulged. Meet Wally the womrat. He's quite sweet. I've been wondering though - he hasn't needed to have his food dish filled since he was bought like a season ago. Or rather, the option hasn't come up. I just hope that he doesn't drop dead one of these days because I can't feed him. Maybe with the caged pet fixes he doesn't eat much/at all...
I also played through a grandparent vacation over at Three Lakes, because Arthur wanted a mountain vacation. Much fun was had by all.
Well, except maybe this random vacation townie. She got hit by a lightning in the hot tub. For the rest of the vacation whenever she showed up on a lot, she always looked like that.
I still quite like Meadow. She's always having fun some way. I made her rake the leaves. When she was done, this was what she first did. Looked like it was fun.
At some point Bonnie and Thomas managed to top their respective careers. That made Captain Hero Bonnie permaplat, but Professional Party Guest Thomas still has half of his 50 dream dates to go. So we'd better speed up next rotation if we want it done some time.
Here you can also see that Thomas has gotten family as his secondary aspiration. He's always interacting with his kids on free will, so I saw it as being very him. (I've started picking secondaries for those sims who strike me as having one. I'm picking those myself, even in the main house, because nyah nyah, I play by the old old rules, and those don't say anything about secondaries.)
The two of them are pretty cute together. They might not autonomously romance as much as some of my other couples (*cough* Bill and Ira *cough*), but maybe I've pushed them a little harder than some others. They did get a small vacation, too. That was mostly spent dating, though, to get that dream date count up.
The kids, Clarissa and Clyde, are still a fun duo. They have become teens this rotation, as many other kids in the hood too.
So here they are:
Clarissa rolled Pleasure, and Clyde rolled Fortune. If my die could decide, apparently I'd have the hood full of those two aspirations, but since this I've started to immediately re-roll for non-mainhouse teens. Because I'd want some variety, yes please!

Next up: Beth and Sean. Their son, Carl, has been making some friends. One of them is his older cousin Cho. They came along just fine.
This was fully autonomous. Someone is a big kid, really. =)
"Hooray, our son is almost a teen!"
This is how the proud parents celebrated on Carl's birthday.
And what's a birthday party without Bill and Ira making out on the front porch?
Carl seemed to want to wear something a little rougher, a little rock, so I let him, just gave him a slightly less colorful outfit. He rolled romance, the third teen in the hood to do so this generation.
Charlie has also been a pretty regular visitor in the Cameron houshold. He's especially liked socializing his Aunt and Uncle.
Beth recently became Mayor, which she's always wanted to do. Sean is still working on becoming Captain Hero.
And if you were wondering why I said in the update that their engagement was a "very private occasion"... Well, now you know. =)
Bill and Ira are actually before Beth and Sean in rotation.
Ira recently got permaplat, thanks to a lucky chance card that gave him a nice big bonus. Bill is of course still working on those 5 top ranked businesses, getting there slowly but surely.
Speaking of work, I've gotten a couple of good laughs.
Ira once brought Sal home from work, they're both in the Criminal career. Great idea, Sal, in full daylight! =D
He's also showed up in one of Bill's businesses. Yes, Sal, Rebecca is a romance sim. (Also, according to the plot, you once fed her to a cow plant. You're not exactly supposed to swoon her, you know.) And no, of course I don't take advantage of my villain to gain business stars! Oh wait...
Yeah, as I've said before, Sal is only a bad guy in the story.
On his free time, Bill has also taken up gardening, and Ira sometimes helps him. Mainly because now I can do this as I have seasons. And well, they had some time on their hands.
Claire, their adopted daughter, has been spending her free time on different pursuits.
She and Cho are quite close, maybe because they both are pretty into boys. The cousins will cause some mayhem when they go to college.
Claire's dog, Suzi, has been the center of everyone's attention. Especially Bill is always about making friends, no matter how many legs those have.
The first thing Suzi did when fully grown up, was try to destroy the sofa. Something was on the way apparently, so she couldn't get to it. So the next thing she did was try to destroy Claire's homework. I woke Claire up to stop her, as I wasn't sure what the teacher would say if Claire went to school with destroyed homework. Maybe it would have just freed her from doing it. =)
Life for Aurora and Andrew has been pretty calm lately. Aurora did write a novel though, as she's recently been into film and literature.
Bobby, their son, has been more into some sportier pastimes, though it doesn't always work out as planned. And he's been making some friends too. Oh, and he's Fortune, too.
The Bruenig household recently celebrated Chip's birthday. The young man became, after a re-roll, Knowledge.
This is why I took Chip shopping for new clothes in the middle of the party. I'd forgotten to do it beforehand.
Apparently that was not a good idea, though. For some reason, soon after he came back, the party rating jumped from "Good time" to "Disaster" and nothing I did would bring it back up. I didn't see anything bad happening, so I assume that either the guests didn't like the birthday boy going out in the middle of the party, or that I got a glitch. Either way, Marsha took it pretty hard.
After the party it was time to get Chip's little sister, Cissy, into private school, and to head out for a little while. Chip autonomously made friends with Cyrus.
Most recently I've played the Patch household. There was also a grandparent vacation, as Abraham was interested in seeing the Far East. It was a quite successfull vacation, especially for Abraham.
He's been teleporting some since then. Just because I think it looks cool.
Interesting discussions took place while drinking tea.
Otherwise, nothing big on the vacation. Kendra retired soon afterwards and was happy about that.
Abraham and Count Pao have some difficulties coming along. Abraham tends to spy on the Count, and well, he tends to get slapped for it.
Once, the Count showed up when Abraham was in the pool. I freaked ot a little when I saw this:
Count Pao actually took a swim in the pool and approached Abraham! I didn't want him to fry on my yard, so I was panicing slightly. The two of them had to get out of the pool because Count Pao couldn't slap Abraham while swimming. I canceled out the action, and only then the Count started smoking, and then quickly running towards home. Phew!
Carla has been just a happy little girl getting to know her relatives. She's also one of the few sims whose one true hobby I've found - it's fitness. Also Carla recently had a birthday.
She rolled Popularity. Though only after two re-rolls. First roll? Fortune. No. Second roll? Pleasure. NO. Anyone surprised anymore? Not me. Anyway, on the third roll I got Popularity and was happy with that.
During the party, some teens did some socializing.
Hey you two, you kind of know each other already. Live in the same house and everything, you know? Well, I guess some brotherly bonding doesn't hurt.
Well, this was my picspam for today. That's what's up in Alphabetia currently. I've been having fun - almost too much of it, as that tends to block my writing. (*cough* Two chapters worth behind. *cough*) My current project is to a) write the next chapter, which needs a little photoediting as there is a certain small age inconsistency present and b) play the end part of the rotation before I start shooting the plottiness a couple of chapters away. And when I get the Mendoza girls into teens, I can finally post a who's who for the generation B.
