Guess what? It seems I was closer to ready than I thought, and managed to get my butt in gear at last. So here you have a Bookacy update, I hope you enjoy!

I love how the portrait turned out!

I'd be tempted to throw some oranges in the juicer for Nicholas, to help with the badges. Every little bit helps!

If you want better pictures on Downtown lots, there is a cheat to force the lights to have normal brightness, and I think Pescado also made a hack that does the same thing. I get that they wanted Downtown lots to have Ambiance or whatever, but those lots can be SO. DARK.

Well, FINE, Baudolino, just GO AHEAD and have that Takemizu local BOW at you.

Oh, poor Dirk with the kilt! I think Family suits him.

I'm glad life calmed down enough to let you get some playing and writing in!

Thanks, I'm quite happy with it myself. :) It goes together with the other portraits, and has everyone in it, which is great.

Orange juice, why didn't I remember about orange juice?! I'll have to check George's inventory, the family has an orange tree but I'm not sure if it has produced any oranges yet. In any case, the moment we have oranges they're going in the juicer for Nicholas. Thanks!

Hmm, Pescado hack you say? I might have to go look for that. I tried the cheat code version and for some reason, it doesn't work for me. It would be nice to get the lights to work normally, and to get less dark pictures.

It wasn't his fault, I swear! There he was, minding his own business, when that local just CAME TO him and BOWED!

Yeah the kilt wasn't the best possible transition outfit. But gladly the home shopping rack has plenty of choice! I'm really glad Dirk rolled Family, I hadn't had a Family heir before, and it's a nice change of pace to the seemingly endless parade of Fortune and Pleasure sims in the main house. And it should suit him personality-wise, too.

Me too, I've been enjoying the playing and writing a lot. :)

Yup, that wasn't the luckiest transition outfit of all time! But gladly there's plenty of choice in the home shopping rack so he wasn't stuck with that kilt.

I'm really glad that Dirk rolled Family. It should suit him very well, and I really needed something other than Fortune and Pleasure for a change.

So nice to see a Bookacy update!

Love the fact that the Bookacies can have some peace and quiet now that Sal’s behind bars at the moment. And it’s nice to see both Baudolino and Marylena having a nice vacation at Takemizu Village. That certainly paid off well at the moment.


Hello there, Dorian! Nice to see him show up in the story at last. Equally nice is the fact that Cho’s pregnant again.

I'm glad of that too. Observational writing may occasionally be hard, but after all the drama, the family deserves a break. And Baudolino and Marylena definitely deserved that vacation.

I'm happy to be showing the other kids in the story finally, or Dorian at this point. Due to all the drama, there was a fair break between Dirk and Dorian, but now that's done with.

Heh, that wasn't perhaps the most fortunate transition outfit!

Sorry it took me a bit to leave a comment--I had some real life stuff going on for the past few weeks that kept me busy.

It's so nice that the Bookacies are able to just go on about their lives peacefully for a little while without worrying about Sal.

Dani is such a cutie. I'm glad Cyrus and his wife (whose name is completely escaping me right now) decided to have a baby.

Kilt or no kilt, Dirk is growing up well and Family seems to be a good choice for him.

I'm glad life calmed down enough for you to get an update out.

I think the family totally deserves a break from Sal and some peaceful time after all that drama. And I get to play more instead of staging.

Oh yeah, little Dani is so very cute so far, I'm looking forward to seeing what she looks like as a teen. And I'm happy Cyrus and Chris went for a child too (they decided on their own with ACR), currently I'm wondering whether or not they might yet get a second one.

The kilt may not have been such a fortunate transition outfit, but gladly he got a better one from the wardrobe. I'm really happy he rolled Family, not only does it seem to suit him quite well, but I was also getting pretty desperate to get something else than Fortune or Pleasure in the main house.

Me too, it's good to be playing and writing again!

Somehow I either didn't read this or didn't comment on it. I am so so very sorry! :( If that ever happens again where I'm more than a week late with a comment, give me a poke and remind me. I am 100% serious!

This was a very sweet update. I'm glad that Cho's non-traditional family is getting along so well, and that Dirk and Nicholas and Eric have worked things out to their satisfaction. Did you know Dirk was going to be Family when you wrote this? If not, he rolled the perfect aspiration! :)

Always a fun story, and I really do look forward to updates. Keep up the good work! :D

Heh, don't worry about it, it happens. :) I know it's happened to me, anyway. I can try to remind you, though I'll admit I forget these easily, since people fall behind and forget and whatnot all the time. Anyway, sometimes I then get a surprise comment, which is nice. :)

Thanks! After all the drama, it feels nice to be writing a calmer period and give Cho, Eric and Nicholas some peace and happiness for a change. I already knew Dirk's aspiration when writing the chapter, or for the most part anyway I think. I do think it suits him, though, and also, I hadn't had a Family heir in the legacy yet, so that's great, too.
