Last baby - yeah right

katrisimsAgain I emerge from my chambers. I'm still alive, RL has just been keeping me relatively busy lately. I've had a working trip to Denmark - went to a conference, was fun and the food was great. =) And I've been visiting my folks and doing all kinds of other stuff instead of simming. I haven't felt like playing all that much lately, either.
Anyway, tonight I played a little bit. I wrote about ten slides for the new chapter, and am currently at 80 slides. So it's slowly shaping up. Then I went to play the Custers.
That is, Barry and Laura. Well, you can guess what happened:
My first ACR pregnancy! Well, I kinda guessed that "the last baby" wouldn't be the last baby most likely with ACR installed. Not really a huge surprise that it was the family sim couple who got pregnant first. They'd been trying for a while, but the odds were low already, and they were rolling kinda high. So I figured they'd be too old already, and wouldn't want another one, as they had three teenager already. But they just had to prove me wrong - by rolling a 0. They actually seemed to want another one pretty badly. I'll have to wait until next rotation to see the baby, though.
Well, not that I object to babies really. =) It was the surprises I partly installed ACR for, and I'm happy that I did. Maybe my good decisions of trying to keep the hood to a reasonable size are down the drain, but well, they've sort of been that way for a while. This all is slowing down playing the actual main house, but I do enjoy playing the whole hood, and at least I shouldn't get bored of playing just one house this way.
So that's what I've been up to lately. I'm still hoping to get the next chapter out before I finish the non-plotty parts of the fall rotation. The Custers are the second last house in the rotation, right before Aadam and Joy. So I'm close, but on the other hand my playing hasn't progressed much lately, either. We'll see how it all turns out. But I'm still alive and kicking - and playing.
