So, for those who have been following my job-seeking endeavors: I had the contract negotiation today, and it went well. :) I've signed my first permanent work contract, for a position in my home town. That's something to be really happy about. It starts next week, and now I'm on a few vacation days from my previous temp job, my last day there was yesterday. So good timing, too.

Now I'm planning to take it easy for these next few days and get used to the idea of being back home again, not having to commute and all that. I'm itching to do something with my sims, too. It's been *ages*.

So, all in all, not a bad day today!

Congratulaaaaaations! I can testify to the fact that moving back to your home town is not as bad as some people seem to make out. I hope it's all as good as it sounds!

Thanks, Jess! *huggles*

Oh, in this case the "home town" part is almost the best part, well, aside from the "getting a job" thing in itself obviously. I've lived in the same town for the past, what, 12 years or so, so that's what I call my home town - not where we used to live when I was little or so. :) A few years back I even bought an apartment - that was before I knew what would eventually happen to my then job.

I really like the town, I really like the apartment, and when I was looking for jobs, it kind of looked like I might not be able to find one in this town but would have to move. My temp job was in the capital (that's where there are the most jobs in general), and I rented a temp flat there too so I wouldn't have to commute every single day. While I liked the job and liked it there too, home was still here... So now that it turned out that I did get a job here, I get to stay close to my friends, keep the apartment I so like and don't have to move, that's the best news I've heard all year basically! :)

Whoops, that got kind of long! But well anyway, thanks for the good wishes, I hope it turns out good too! *huggles more*

Congratulations! I'm glad you finally get a job in your own hometown so that you don't have to spend more time traveling to work. I hope you'll like it.

Thanks, Lenny! I'm glad of that too. I liked the job and the capital was fine too, but I did miss home and the constant traveling was a bit of a burden. Thanks, I hope so too. :)

*\o/* CONGRATULATIONS KATRI! *pops champagne, toots party horn*

That's wonderful that you got the job you wanted, that it's in your hometown, that you don't have to commute very far, and that you'll have more time. And that you get a little break in between the two, which is also nice.
