Lakewood: Just a BaCC, Week 1, Part 1

Hey look! I got something finished! May I present: the first update of that BaCC I've been babbling about. Click on the picture to read. :)



As I've been saying, this is supposed to be a lot more relaxed than my other challenges. To the point of not being a story at all, but rather just documentation. So I won't take any pressure on the writing - or picture-taking, for that matter. Just doing this for the fun of it. :)

It looks like you're off to a flying start! :) It's good to see the Capps and the Montys getting along.

What hack do you use to prevent energy drain from the Dazzle?

That's a lovely house, and I'm sure Pascal will come around in time. Is he friends with Regan? Or do you have different candidates to make playable when you play her?

Out of curiosity, did you restore family ties among the townies?

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the start I got myself. :) And it's been fun seeing how the premades get along without their luggage from the past. Seeing Consort and Patrizio get along was definitely one of my favorites! <3

Let me see, the Dazzle hack is this one by Black Spirit at MTS. It says there that their hacks are only updated for FT and not above, so it should be used with a bit of caution, but I haven't noticed problems with it so far. (Since it apparently wasn't causing the problem I'm currently hunting down.)

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how the house turned out too. Pascal will surely come around, if not this week, then the next one. If he is friends with Regan, she can move him in (or if she has time, she can make him into a friend), but if not, Lizzie gets to work on their relationship next week. I haven't checked Regan's relationships yet, so we'll see about the playable candidates when I get to that. :)

I didn't restore any family relationships. I had to make teens and kids related to someone when I created them, but I removed those relationships before I made them into townies. So none of these sims are related. Some of them may have a bit of a relationship head start from briefly co-existing on the same lot before being towniefied, but otherwise no one had any relationships when I pressed play for Lizzie for the first time. It was only later that I realized that might result in related sims getting romantically involved, which may make me uncomfortable. But well, it hasn't happened yet so I suppose I'll cross that bridge if I ever come to it.

Great start! It's cool that you're playing a Legacy simultaneously to boot!

I don't do much at all with the premades, but I'm enjoying getting more familiar with them here and look forward to seeing how their lives turn out in Lakewood.

Love what you're doing so far, can't wait to see what Regan will be up to.

Thanks! One of the reasons why a BaCC felt so tempting to me was its potential for sub-challenges. A legacy, being THE challenge of the sims world, felt like a suitable choice for the founder. Plus I'm very fond of the challenge myself. Anyway, as I get further, we should be seeing other challenges popping up, too. :)

I haven't done much with the premades, either, so this is quite new to me too. It's fun seeing how their lives and relationships arrange themselves without any luggage from the past.

I'm glad I can keep up with one of your challenges from the start! :D

I really enjoyed this, and getting the uni was a hell of a milestone to get out of the way - congratulations on that!

I loved the little things, like the Capp & Monty friendship and also Lizzie shoving cake into Ajay's ear!

Veronaville is probably the 'hood I am least familiar with, so I look forward to seeing what Reagan gets up to!

Thanks! I'm glad I got the uni taken care of. I'm pretty fond of uni, so I want to be able to send my youngsters. And it gives a pretty nice boost to population right away, too.

The little things are sometimes the best. :) I'll admit I squeed when I saw Patrizio and Consort getting together for a friendly game of chess. And the cake thing was pretty hilarious, somehow Ajay's head was turned just that way, and the expression to go with it was pretty priceless. :D

I think Veronaville is the one I'm the least familiar with myself, so just seeing some of these sims is pretty interesting to me in itself. I've started playing Regan and so far it's been a lot of fun.
