Post update and other picspam

So, I thought it would be about time for some picspam. I've been playing a lot these past few days, as I'm having some time off from work and all. So I've been able to finish the autumn rotation and start the winter one. So I've got some stuff from the various Bookacies to show. But first...
Let's have a small behind the scenes for chapter 24. Or well, "behind the scene" would maybe be more appropriate. Anyway.

It's been a while since I made the Mayor's office. It was some moment when I suddenly felt like bulding/decorating and knew this was happening somewhere along the line. The set is actually the Downtown lot called Hans Trap Door Corp or something such. It had plenty of space to use upstairs, so I did. I ended up liking it quite well. And there was actually a lot that I put there that didn't actually show up in the scene. Oh well.

As I ranted earlier, the making of the scene with my inexperience was pretty painful. First I couldn't do almost anything. Then I had to cheat the money and buy the lot. Then I couldn't get the pose boxes. Then I couldn't makeover the assistant. And so on, and so on. The one thing that bugged me a little in the final thing was that for some reason, I couldn't get Beth to use the fancy phones I placed on the desks. I tried buying a regular phone, but still "no interactions available". Phones on my other business lots work just fine, so I've got no idea what was going on there. So I needed to insert a line which explained the cell phone being used.

The first time I (unsuccessfully) tried to shoot the scene, some townies wondered on the lot. That's how I found Whitney.

Her name is really Whitney, Whitney Bear. She seemed to be just perfect for the job. I wrote down the name and summoned her when I tried again.

It was not only the clothes that took several tries to get right, it was the hair and makeup too. But that's only because none of the Camerons have any makeover badges. ;)

Finally, I had to deal with some disobedient actors.
So, what have I been up to after finishing the update? Well, first I decided to finish the fall rotation. The main house had a couple of days left.

Sometimes alll one needs is a slapdance with the relatives.

And there's Adrian, showing off the shiny that is Free Time. That was the first time I've ever seen anyone read while walking. Seems to be simply one of the idle animations. And yes, Adrian's secondary aspiration is Fortune. He seemed to be rolling that type of wants in his one non-cheese lot pretty frequently, and it also felt nice that he could have the same aspiration as his wife has.

Chunni is still a huge attraction. She's actually flying about the house half the time because the sillies don't close the door after playing.

I sent Charlie Downtown so he could find some girls to date. I've found on many occasions recently that finding a teenage townie (preferably of the gender they prefer) when you most need one is a pain. Charlie did find one.

His first try for a date was not that successfull, though. Shame on you, Cassidy! You'll date Charlie, and you'll like it!

Cho was also there, her main purpose was to lover her relationship with her buddy Chip, so I could get rid of the accidental red hearts. Charlie seemed to feel sorry for Chip.

No, Barbara, you can't have her. She's the heiress. Ahem. Friends zone, where are you again?

We also worked hard on Baudolino's spa. I think we're on level 8 or something now. Sal also showed up and we actually had to ask him leave in the morning.
"Thank you for visiting us, mr. Chamcha, and thank you for the stars you awarded. I would, however, suggest that you leave now. We would hate to lose such a great Legacy Villain."
"Nice to meet you too, mrs. Bookacy. I do believe that would be very unfortunate indeed. I must flee, so until we meet again!"

Nicole also FINALLY got her gold makeover badge. That want had been locked so long it's not even funny. I was going to go for the all badges point in the old OFB rules, but especially with all the new badges added after that, not a chance at this point. I'm actually trying to prepare for the fact that I'll most likely going to lose Adrian and Nicole over the winter. =(
Marsha and Bailey also had some autumn left. So I got Chip an acceptable dating target.

And I got rid of the non-acceptable one.

Sorry, Cho. It's a party, though, go meet some of your other relatives, okay? You may socialize with Chip, too, but only after I friends zone you two.

It was actually Cissy's birthday party. Or not party but family gathering anyway.

She grew up quite well I think. She rolled family, and I think she will have a secondary in popularity or knowledge. (And yes, she did roll pleasure first. And I did roll again.)

She wanted a kitty a day or two before her birthday, so we adopted Alegra. The kitty has gotten some attention.

Aww. I totally see why marrying Remington in is a legacy cliché. After seeing him do that randomly while he was cleaning the house one day, I started thinking maybe I should do that too, just for the funsies.

The three Custer girls are an incredibly tight bunch. They're always playing with each other, and often, when there are multiple kids in the playable house, when one brings one of them home from school, the others show up with other kids of the house. Funny.

Some cousinly bonding, I see. I guess I should see if I've already friends zoned Bobby and Corinna.
Beth and Sean also had some autumn left. So I decided that Carl needed an acceptable girl to put his moves on. So I called the matchmaker, ready to check friends zones in case I got a cousin.

I didn't. I've forgotten her name, but despite being knowledge, she and Carl have two bolts.

That, and ACR, made Carl's first kiss want a piece of cake.

While playing Beth and Sean (and looking for a date for Carl), I also saw my first random townie makeout.

And we saw another kind of cousinly bonding as well.
So, then winter set on. the first house where I saw snow on the ground, ever, was Aurora and Andrew's.

And there I also had my first penguin sighting. Yay!

Inside, there was Bobby skilling like mad. He wanted to get the charisma scholarship, and his time as a teenager was closing in on ending. It took quite some pushing and crossing my fingers, but he made it in time. Now there's suitably enough time for Aurora to throw a final party for her son before he goes to college. I had to leave a couple of days in the rotation unplayed, because I'm leaving most of the main house rotation unplayed for plottiness for now, and Cyrus thus won't be going yet. He's supposed to be the oldest, so no one goes to college before Cyrus does!

I'm getting many of the houses greenhouses this rotation. The juice benefits and the wishing wells tempt me, plus there's stuff for permaplat elders to do, yay! Yeah, that's the main house greenhouse you see in the background.

Also, Bobby, too, got some (manipulated) autonomous action recently.
I've also played most of the winter at Bill and Ira's. They had snow too.

In fact, enough so that Claire got a snow day. So she got to tend the garden instead of studying.

But first she got to make a snowman.

I had to try out this too.

The snowman got some company, too. He apparently got warned about a villain being on the loose.

Or maybe the penguin talked about Ira. He became Criminal Mastermind.

In the Riley house, Bill's lifetime want is a family effort now. His third business is now level 9, so he's still behind from where he should be at this point. But the family helps. Bill takes care of the cash register, because he's the fastest (gained a gold badge recently), Ira restocks and Claire sells, so she can meet many new sims.

Or not so new ones.
"But of course there's a Gramma discount!"

Sal also showed up here. Sal, you're soooo scary in that woollen scarf, I don't think that should be legal!
=D

"Marsha dear, so good to see you! How are you?"
"Mr. Chamcha! Oh, just great, being goody two shoes as always. How about you, still working on those evil plans?"
"Always, Marsha dear."

Thomas, I wouldn't advise you to do that. I think Bonnie would be pretty upset if she knew. Adson probably wouldn't mind - with his history, he can't afford to - but Bonnnie is a family sim and all.
There are sometimes also ackward moments at home.

"Errr... Daddies, would you mind... umm... okay, let me know when done okay? I brought a friend from school so we'll be talking outside for now, right?"

Claire also got a date to boost her aspiration. She and Ricky are a pretty good match. I don't think it'll last, both being romancers, but anyway.

This was one of the more hilarious moments I've had recently. Due to the gardening, the family are all starting to be pretty enhusiastic about nature. So as Ira happened to be awake in the middle of the night one time, and wanted to go hiking, I let him. I wanted to see if you can even do that in the winter. You can. Apparently you can also be chased by the bees in the middle of the snow.
On Saturday I held a small scale teen gathering for Claire. That is, invited her buddies over and let them interact.

"Hey aren't you two supposed to be friends zoned already?"
"Sure, don't worry, I'm just greeting Bobby here alright?"

Claire's dog Suzi also got some attention.

Oh, and it seems some of the family can't even come in, because snow is just so exciting.
That's it for the picspam for now. The kids are closing in on college, or most of them anyway, and I'm having a blast playing.
