Weekly simming 3/2016
Jan. 24th, 2016 08:28 pmThis was one of my not so great simming weeks. I've felt too tired most evenings, plus I've been distracted by a couple of absorbing books. (A continuation of a Finnish fantasy series I used to read when I was younger.)
The only thing I've done simming-wise is arranging some pictures for the next Bookacy chapter today. Well, I suppose I've also been thinking about some upcoming plot. I had one in mind for the downgrade, and I was quite excited about getting to that part, but now I'm not so sure. Not sure if that's what I want to do, if that's where I want to go with my bad guys. And maybe I want to save that plot turn for later. After all, Cho's generation has seen a lot of drama. Of course, something still needs to happen to explain the downgrade. And possibly the change with the extended family that I'm planning.
Well, there' still time until we get to that point. I guess I'll just have to keep thinking, playing and writing!

Date: Jan. 26th, 2016 02:29 am (UTC)When I need to make a sudden change in living circumstances, I use one of the following: a) so then they moved (no explanation), b) and then the tornado hit (very useful; do you have tornadoes in Finland to know what they do?), or c) some sort of major life epiphany. Feel free to use any or none of those options.
What series are you reading? Is it good? Is it available in English, do you know? *esmeiolanthe likes to read*

Date: Jan. 26th, 2016 05:46 pm (UTC)Yeah, I could of course leave it with no explanation, too, but I'm sort of itching for plot by now. :) It was nice to have a break from the constant plot, but in the end, it is a major factor in why the legacy has kept me interested.
My problem with the first plot idea was that it would maybe makes my bad guys too bad, as in out of character. Or well, technically Komei since Sal is in jail. I may have a substitute idea, we'll see. :) A tornado is rather tempting, although I don't think I can shoot one - and I don't think Komei can arrange one, either... :) (I know what they do, but we don't really have any here. Nor volcanoes or earthquakes, since we are in the middle of a tectonic plate.)
It's a series called "Vuorileijonan varjo" (something like "The shadow of a mountain lion", except it's not a cougar but a lion in the mountains), and I'm rather enjoying it. Unfortunately I don't think it's been translated, very few Finnish books are popular enough. And this one wasn't very popular, in fact the parts that the author is currently putting out don't even have a Finnish publisher, she's putting them online for free. Reading is the best! <3

Date: Jan. 27th, 2016 02:02 am (UTC)That's too bad that the books aren't translated, since they sound like fun. I've had a soft spot for lions + fantasy since Narnia.

There was one lion though, just pretty briefly! But the lack of lions hasn't made it less enjoyable for me at least. :)
