Weekly simming 23/2016
Jun. 12th, 2016 09:51 pmWell, this was a pretty productive week when it comes to sims, in both playing and otherwise. I managed to finish the Mellon household in Alphabetia and posted picspam on them. After that, I took a full backup again, just to be safe.
That was yesterday. And today I decided to bite the bullet and finally upgrade my simming machine to Windows 10. I had to battle with the update and my antivirus software a bit; apparently the correct way would have been to uninstall the antivirus, install Windows 10, then re-install the antivirus. I didn't know and had to revert to 7 to be able to get rid of the antivirus, then re-upgrade to 10, *then* re-install the antivirus. So my simming machine has been hard at work most of today. (While I sat at the laptop, at war with the Ottomans. I won that one.)
Other than hiccup with the antivirus though, it seems to have gone smoothly. Naturally the first thing that I checked after I was protected against viruses again, was whether my TS2 still ran. It did, off the bat and smoothly. :) (As did TS4, which was the next thing to check, although I don't think there was as much of a question there.) I did a test on my laptop earlier (it already had 10 on it) and installed the Ultimate Collection from Origin. That worked, so if I ever need to re-install TS2, at least that option should be there.
Now in the evening I played a little bit of the Fortunato household in Lakewood, mostly to see if things worked right. Still seems they do, I was able to play and take pictures normally. So so far so good. Oh, and I wrote a little bit of the Bookacy chapter, on 58 slides now.
So, that was this week, we'll see how things go next week. :)
