Well, time to do weekly simming, even though there's not much to report. I missed last week's, as I was having my sixth flu within the year at the time and didn't feel up to it. Between that, traveling and the ongoing heatwave, I haven't really done much simming. I did write a few captions here and there for the Broke week before I got sick, but that's about it.
Summer vacation has often been one of the best simming times I've had during the year, but if the heat goes on like this, then I suspect that may not be the case this year. It's simply too hot to sim! Well, in any case I'll be doing something fun and relaxing, possibly a little simming if time and temperature allow.

Date: Aug. 2nd, 2018 08:37 pm (UTC)I talked to a doctor at occupational health in the spring about the recurring flus I've been having. Apparently having 5 to 6 flus a year is still normal for an adult, even more than that for a kid. The doctor also said that things like changing towns and changing jobs affect this, and I did both, so I'm presumably being subjected to a lot of new viruses. So at the moment I'm hoping that it's just the new bugs and it'll start easing up from here. Fingers crossed!
*waves fan back at Esme* Or how is it for you, would handing mittens be more useful? *hands Esme mittens too, just in case*

(The bad news is that there are hundreds of viruses out there that all have pretty much the same effects so they all *feel* more or less the same.) Get well soon!

Date: Aug. 19th, 2018 07:17 pm (UTC)Oh, a lovely big air conditioner sounds nice indeed! And that's a clever plan for making sure you can use it when you need it, too. :) It seems the heat wave passed here during my absence, so it's in the comfortable range again, but I bet after a summer like this a lot of Finns are looking into air conditioning solutions!
Thanks! Fortunately, I did get better again pretty quickly. I just hope that now that I've been here for some time the bugs would start to ease off, it's been a pretty rough year in that sense. Fingers crossed!
