How tall would my sims be, were they not all the same height?

Alright, I'll jump the bandwagon then! I have to admit that I haven't given heights much thought at all. But when thinking about it, I realized I could actually give some kinds of relative estimates for quite many sims, especially those currently running around. Not really any numbers, I haven't thought of it that far, plus even if I had, the numbers would be centimeters anyway. Anywho, here goes.


Author
Funnily enough, Author is one of the most difficult sims for me to describe in terms of height. I'd say she was "average", not very tall but not very short either. Same for her body type, she wasn't super fit but definitely not fat either. She'd probably exercise on occasion, but I'd say she was a little bit on the lazy side on that, and mainly just lucky not getting fat.

Curty
Curty, I would say, was rather tall, clearly taller than his wife. He was also relatively broad-shouldered, although not hugely muscular. He could be intimidating when needed and knew that, but mostly he didn't want or need to.

Sal
Sal I see as also rather tall, about the same height as Curty, but thinner. He's actually very slim, not skinny though. He also may not look very muscular, but he's physically quite strong, able to pull stunts when needed. And sometimes those might be needed.

Adrian
Adrian was somewhere between his mother and father in height. Like Curty, he was pretty broad-shouldered but not quite to the same extent. As a young man he was also quite fit, but as he discovered his love for grilled cheese, he found out that it was easy to gain weight. He'd excercise to look good for Nicole, but had a tendency to gain weight unless very careful.

Nicole
Nicole was rather tall for a woman, and definitely the type that would look taller than they really are. She'd also take care of her figure, as image was a somewhat important thing to her.

Baudolino
Baudolino takes after his father. He's somewhat shorter, though, even though Adrian and Nicola are both tall. But he too, has the tendency to gain weight, and he's constantly battling with it.

Marylena
Marylena is probably slightly shorter than Baudolino, not by much though. She's rather slim by default and unlike her husband, stays that way without very much effort. They both enjoy good food, but Marylena is slightly more controlled with it than Baudolino is.

Cho
Cho I see as taller than either of her parents, tall for a woman just like Nicole was. And she's also slim in an elegant way and has pretty, long legs. All things she's, especially as a romancer, quite proud of. She also naturally excercises to keep her body looking as good as it does.

Cyrus
Cyrus is even taller than Cho, in fact he may be the tallest in the family ever since Curty. He's pretty active but no excercise freak - he's not fat but the softest of the three siblings. He's also the tall, clumsy type that might easily trip over his own feet. He's got rather long legs, easy to trip over.

Charlie
Charlie is the shortest of the three siblings, relatively short for a male actually. But it doesn't bother him in the slightest, as don't many other things. He's also probably the most muscular male in the family so far, he likes working out for the sake of working out. Perhaps it's partly to keep that charmer image, but for the most part excercise is just one more fun thing for him to do.

Aadam
Aadam is clearly shorter than his father, taking after Author more. He also looks slightly more heavily built than Salahuddin, although he's clearly no muscleman either. And probably, if a physical confrontation happened between father and son, Sal would be the winner - his looks can be rather deceiving.

Beth + family
Beth is not quite as tall as Nicole, but she too can look taller than she is when she wants to. In reality she's only slightly taller than average. She's rather active and excercises to look good, although not as much as Charlie for example. Sean's only slightly taller than Beth, and he's about the same body type as Sal: rather slim and stronger than he looks. Carl takes after him somewhat, although he's a little bit more heavily built.

Marsha + family
Marsha I see as being pretty tiny, both in height and weight. She's always in good shape due to her job, and she has a bit of a need to show that she can manage physically despite being so small. The contrast is rather big as Bailey is taller than average. He's not fat but isn't too keen on excercise either, he's too interested in theoretical matters for that. Cissy takes after her mother, Chip after his father, but is more into working out than he is, and has more defined muscles as a consequence.


I suppose that covers most characters in spotlight, plus a few I happen to have some thoughts on. Fun height-meta is fun!

Oh, I can totally saw Sal exactly as you described. I like how you mentioned that he's stronger than he looks. Suits him. Aadam and Count Curty pretty much matched my expectations, too. Yay for more height-meta!

It's fun to see who matches the expectations for whom and if there are sims that generally awoke similar expectations among people. It was also fun to notice that while I first thought I didn't have an idea of how tall they would be, after a while I realized that for some sims I actually had. Funny how that works.

It was so much fun to read all of these. It's great seeing if imagination of the reader match expectations of the writer. I can particularly see Sal exactly the way you described him.

This has been fun to ponder on, and also fun to see which sims cause imaginations to work similarly. Apparently Sal is my such sim.
