Okay, first of all, sorry about the radio silence. Work has been pretty busy lately, and on my free time I've been in Thesis Proofread Mode again. Hence very little time to sim. At least the thesis is now proofread, so my part on that is over, so hopefully I'll be able to do more sims related stuff now.

Also, I come bearing gifts! First off, we have a brief interlude for the Bookacies:

And secondly, something quite different! May I present, the first part of my Sekrit Project I've been mentioning for a pretty long time:

When it comes to the latter, I'd like to thank (in alphabetical order) [livejournal.com profile] dicreasy, [livejournal.com profile] docnerd and [livejournal.com profile] mzyra for the use of their characters. And I'd like to apologize, in advance, about not always getting them right. Also, thanks for their house go to Orikes.

Both parts are available both on Slideshare and on Scribd. I personally recommend the Scribd versions, apparently the Slideshare ones are rather bad these days...

EDIT: I also recommend reading them in this order if you follow the Bookacies. :) Villains or Heroes? can also be read independently. Warning: Bad guys use bad words occasionally, but nothing too extreme.

I hope you enjoy!

I can't feel too sorry for Sal. His obsession with Author has killed people, and hurt others, including his kids, who'd rather die than follow him down the path he's chosen. That said, I hope being in prison gives him some perspective and will eventually allow him to move past Author and the Bookacies and be happy.

You hit the right notes with Cypress! The arrogance, the lack of an internal filter, and the utter absence of anything remotely resembling a conscience. He'll put up with snark from someone who might be useful to him, but is much less tolerant of anyone who's NOT so useful. Seth and Rodney are right to be wary, because yes--Cypress won't hesitate to kill someone. That doesn't really pose much of a moral quandary for him.

I hope you're having fun with your Apoc! If you end up doing it, marrying in the Streakers is a hilarious romp through Naked Town! But on the plus side, you won't have to look at their pajamas and undies 24/7, just the pixel blur!

I understand that sentiment completely, there's some sympathy there but there's also a limit to how much of that can be mustered. It's sad that he's driven by a consuming obsession, but that doesn't make what he's done any less wrong. I'm not very optimistic about what prison will do to him, but we'll see...

Thank you! That means a lot, I'm pretty nervous about writing the borrowed characters, although it's fun, too. You were right, Cy turned out to be comparatively easy to write, alongside with Seth. I'm having more difficulties with Rodney and Marielle, but hopefully with time that'll be easier. In my head, Cypress is clearly the most dangerous of the group, so the others should be a bit careful - luckily for them, Seth knows him by reputation off the bat, so at least they're warned. It's also lucky that currently there's no benefit for Cypress in harming them, so they're relatively safe. And they could turn out to be useful alive, after all.

So far, it's definitely been fun! Bim hasn't really streaked so far, but then again micromanaging is kind of a must in an Apoc, so that might affect it. Otherwise, she's made of Awesome!

Thanks for reading and commenting! ^^
