The Bookacy Family Alphabet Journal

This post is mostly because I'm a completist; there isn't really that much to report for last week. (And yes, as suspected, I missed my usual reporting day, as I was out of town.) I did manage to update on Tuesday before I left for vacation, but that's really all I had time for sims-wise. I'm still pretty content I got that out of the way.

I was away on vacation, spent a few days in Stockholm and then on the way back visited my sister. I had a really nice and relaxing time, mostly just walked around and looked what I came across that way. Everything went nicely, save for the fact that I managed to twist my ankle, so it was sore for a couple of days, especially with all the walking. But now its gotten a couple of days of rest at my sister's, so I think it's starting to be all better again.

I arrived back home today and have been mostly in recovery mode, unpacking, washing laundry etc. Now begins my staycation, we'll see see how much progress I can manage. :)

I'm a little bit tired, so I'll try to make this one rather fast.

As I've been saying, this is supposed to be a lot more relaxed than my other challenges. To the point of not being a story at all, but rather just documentation. So I won't take any pressure on the writing - or picture-taking, for that matter. Just doing this for the fun of it. :)

So, back to CAS I suppose, the Smiths are apparently next on my list. I'm pretty happy with this week, I hope next week continues to be good!

So, as my downloading project is complete, I thought I'd post the resource list I've been compiling. It's mostly for my own reference, but I've found other people's resource lists fun and useful in the past, so why not. My stuff is probably mostly pretty basic, the kind of stuff that other people already know about, but you never know when you'll stumble into a new, awesome creator, right?

Well, there's one thing I haven't done this week: played. The week was on the busy side, I had a couple of things I needed to attend, one party, plus headache problems on the days I wasn't occupied with any of those... But, I've still managed a bit of progress.

Next week is looking like a fairly busy one when it comes to real life, so we'll see how much progress I can make then. Also, I'm trying to make Sunday my reporting day for this weekly simming thing, but of course that may not always work out. Next week may possibly be one of those times. But in that case, I'll try to do it on a day which is not Sunday!

Hello, and welcome to my simming blog! I'm Katri, a fortysomething Finnish simmer, and this is my place to share my stories, general babbles, pictures and whatever else might cross my mind. So far, this has been a Sims 2 blog (almost) exclusively, but who knows about the future.

My main ongoing challenge at the moment is the Lakewood Build a City Challenge. It's not intended to be a story, but rather observational gameplay documentation and fun challenges.

Katri and the Case of the Haunted Asylum is a Halloween-themed Asylum challenge with pre-existing ghosts and supernatural inmates. Like Lakewood, it's not really a story but rather a documented challenge. It was completed in November 2020.

Bonita's Wants is a Great Boolprop Olympic Challenge, where Bonita Curious (originally from the Lakewood BaCC) attempts to fulfill 100 Wants, while living her everyday life. It was completed in September 2022.

I have two plotty stories, which are currently on hiatus. With the current world and life situation, I feel it best to concentrate on something lighter for the time being. Perhaps there will yet come a time when I have the time and mental energy for plot-heavy storytelling.
